A client asked me last week:

"Why do we need comparison pages? Won't that help competitors?"

Short answer: No.

Long answer:

Buyers are ALREADY comparing you to competitors.

Either:
A) On your site (your narrative)
B) On competitor sites (their narrative)
C) On random review sites (uncontrolled narrative)

You don't create the comparison.
You control it.

Everyone's debating SEO vs. GEO

But here's the plot twist: ‘SEO feeds LLMs’

(someone dropped this in the comments on my recent post, and it's exactly right.)

Here's how it works:

SEO creates content → other sites reference it → your domain authority grows → LLMs see those citations everywhere → your brand shows up in AI responses.

It's the "content ecosystem" effect. Your SEO work ripples beyond your site and feeds the broader web that LLMs pull from. The content people cite, link to, and talk about.

SEO is still the foundation. But visibility today is distributed.

Here’s an analogy to make this simple:
🍈 SEO plants the seeds.
🌱 The entire internet decides what grows.
🌳 LLMs harvest what's there

So the real question isn't SEO or GEO.
It's whether your content is worth citing in the first place.

YES, LinkedIn is being cited by LLMs (but not in the way you think)

A Semrush study of 230,000 prompts found Reddit and LinkedIn among the top most-cited domains across ChatGPT, Google's AI Mode, and Perplexity (Semrush, November 2025).

And a separate Spotlight study adds a crucial layer: out of 19,202 LinkedIn sources cited by these LLMs, 78%+ came from LinkedIn Pulse articles specifically (Spotlight, January 2026).

Here's what you need to know:

LLMs want verifiable content, and Linkedin Pulse articles tie content to real people with employment history, education, and professional accomplishments.
