I’ve spent years at the intersection of content, strategy, and operations—scaling teams, solving messy problems, and figuring out how to get big ideas across the finish line. 

As a content operations executive, I’ve built multi-million-dollar digital publications, helped brands create sustainable growth strategies, and developed content teams that actually work. I love a good challenge, whether it’s building a content engine from scratch, operationalizing a chaotic process, or optimizing systems that just aren’t quite working.

These days, I’m deep in the world of Reddit marketing with ReddVisible—the first growth agency dedicated to helping brands unlock the power of Reddit. We help companies build real communities, create meaningful conversations, and drive traffic in ways that feel natural—not forced. With the ever-changing search landscape, brands need alternative traffic strategies that don’t rely on Google’s whims, and I’m all in on helping businesses thrive beyond the algorithm.

At V4M, Candelario works as a writer. He picks up stories at will and reports to a variety of editors. While a  majority of stories are based around gaming content, he has written various guides, reviews, and lists about the most popular video games out there.

Vurbl's first CSR, Candelario assisted creators in using the platform. He was knowledgeable about uploading content, creating playlists, and creating pages. He also assisted in the site's outreach, privacy control, and content creation. Candelario also worked closely with Vurbl’s Ambassador program members, which consisted of Vurbl’s most popular creators. Candelario started as a Curation Intern at Vurbl.

Candelario started as a Breakfast Attendant but got promoted to Front Desk Attendant. As a Front Desk Attendant, Candelario is a guest's first interaction with his property. Some of his responsibilities include checking guests in and out, creating reservations, collecting outstanding balances, collecting advanced purchase payments, solving any issue a guest has, and running the property while his managers are not present.

As a Spencers Associate, Candelario was knowledgeable about all items in the store to assist any customer. Some of his responsibilities included stocking items, answering customer questions, handling money at a register, and cleaning.

Candelario would create playlists for the site. His editors would pitch topics, and Candelario would collect audio samples from across the platform to create playlists.

Azusa Pacific University

As an Editor, Candelario works closely with the Editor-In-Chiefs and Art Directors to create three issues of ZU Magazine every academic semester. Most of his work as an editor includes; copy editing, editing stories for content, writing, overlooking and editing final versions of the magazine.

As a Resident Advisor, Candelario worked with a team of other Resident Advisors and an Area Director to manage some of APU's living areas. He worked in The Shire Mods with transfer students from 2019 to 2020 and in Unversity Village with juniors and seniors from 2020 to 2021. Some of his responsibilities consisted of hosting events for his residents every month, planning all living area events with his team once a month, enforcing APUs' drinking and visitation policies, and assisting residents in any roommate conflict.

As an Executive Producer, Candelario assists incoming journalism students in creating, hosting, editing, and posting their own radio/podcast shows. Candelario is also responsible for meeting with each student so they can pitch their radio/podcast show to him, and he gives them feedback on their pitches. Candelario runs the podcast/radio channel with two other Executive Producers.

As a supervisor, he worked with a team of seven other student supervisors/managers, plus a general manager, to run Cougars Den to the best of its ability. As a supervisor, he was in charge of sending people on breaks, solving any issue that arose during his shift, and being in direct contact with employees.

As an Intern, Candelario had worked on a junior creative board to assist L.A. STYLE Magazine in creating an upcoming issue, "Color is Beautiful." Candelario has also helped with posting daily content to the L.A. STYLE Magazine Instagram account and gathered content to reshare on the Instagram account. He had also helped with researching various topics for the magazine, organizing information in Google Sheets, writing press releases, contacting potential partners, and writing.

During this time, Candelario worked as a Starbucks Barista on APU's campus. His role was cut short due to COVID-19.

As a recent Azusa Pacific University graduate, Candelario, or Candy, Plascencia currently serves as Vurbl Media’s first Creator Support Representative. While at APU, he obtained a BA in Journalism, emphasis in News & Storytelling, and minored in Public Relations. Some of his professional experience consists of being an intern for L.A. STYLE Magazine, an intern for Vurbl Media, Managing Editor of ZU Magazine, Executive Producer for ZU Podcast, and staff writer for ZU Media. While some of his general experience consists of being a Starbucks Barista, Front Desk Attendant, and Student Lead at APUs cafeteria. While off the clock, he enjoys spending time with his loved ones, working out, and gaming.
