Vancouver Film School

Hired to direct small one day shoots for the VFS writing department. Directed five films in total, each with different students in the writing department.

Was hired for two other major projects with Vancouver Film School.

First was as a director for a high concept fantasy film produced by five EBM (Entertainment Business Management) students. Was a 6 month process from conception through post-production and screening. Worked with students, instructors and professionals on writing, casting, storyboards, set-building, constume design, rehearsals, filming, editing, music, sound design. We ultimately filmed with a crew of about 40 people.

Second I was hired to lead three 3-hour instructions to the Acting students for a project called Camera 3. I instructed 14 students and we took seven 3-4 page scripts they had written, put them together into one large script, and filmed it over 8 days. I was instructing them on acting from a directors perspective, and also guiding them as they were tasked with rewrites, and producing the project. I directed the 8 days of filming, and also edited the project myself. I was also tasked with grading the students once the designated course was complete.
