As a Founding Engineer (AI) at Alphana.ai, I am responsible for projects from development through deployment to production, iterating on our platform's existing features while implementing new ones. My focus is on full-stack development, integrating advanced AI technologies and solutions into our products to enhance functionality and user experience.

I work on building and optimizing technology related to content generation and editing, contributing to the advancement of our AI-powered content management system. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including product, design and engineering, I strive to improve our AI capabilities and deliver a superior user experience to content creators of all kinds!

Founding Engineer (AI)

City as a School

As a Founding Engineer at City as a School, I have fully owned the development of Ark, an AI-powered Tutor and Career Guidance Agent. My role involves leveraging cutting-edge AI technologies—including nearly every available production-ready API endpoint—to create innovative educational learning pathways tailored to individual career objectives, AI-powered job search tools, and the ability to build portfolios through AI-guided projects. 

In this application, we aimed to create an agentic system capable of referencing multiple AI API endpoints such as Perplexity, Groq, and OpenAI. The system can cue components, navigate browsers, and interact with Notion databases via AI function-calling. Other integrated technologies include Text-to-Speech (TTS), Speech-to-Text (STT), and the use of Vector Databases. 

My contributions have been instrumental in advancing City as a School's mission to revolutionize education through AI, providing personalized learning experiences and career guidance at scale.

Chipp.AI

As Co-Founder, Founding Engineer, and Chief AI Officer at Chipp, I played a pivotal role in shaping our startup's technological direction as it evolved. I spearheaded the development of our initial product, an AI chat interface called BenchmarkAI. This platform empowered users to query a comprehensive BigQuery database containing every available U.S. non-profit tax return; I constructed one of the earliest SQL agents. 

I managed the end-to-end data pipeline by extracting, cleaning, and converting raw tax return data from the IRS database, and efficiently storing it in BigQuery. The AI agent I developed could query this data, vectorize the results for rapid retrieval, and display them in an interactive table. It also enhanced user experience by answering questions through the generated vector database, utilizing advanced natural language processing. 

In subsequent product iterations, I contributed to the design of the payments platform UI dashboards, improving user engagement and transaction transparency. Ultimately, I architected the MVP of the agent-building system for the current platform, which is foundational to Chipp's ability to build and deploy AI agents at scale. My contributions have been instrumental in positioning Chipp at the forefront of scalable and deployable AI solutions.

I led the implementation and redesign of frontend components for various enterprise web applications, enhancing performance and user experience. I built numerous web-based business dashboards to accompany customer-facing mobile applications, improving data visualization and engagement. Technologies I used daily included JavaScript, React.js, Firebase for database management and deployments, Material UI for styling, Git for version control, and GitHub for repository management.

Frontend Software Engineer

I assisted a local Senior Software Engineer maintain a side-project in the form of part-time contracting/sub-contracting. Responsible for designing and building Next.js frontend templates for Content Management Systems (CMS's).

Cottage

During my contract with Cottage, I was responsible for designing, developing, and/or debugging various Next.js React components for a few different clients. Our stack included Next.js, TypeScript, Github (version-control) Vercel (deployment), Material UI (styling), and Airtable (back-end). I learned an incredible amount during this contract and look forward to applying that experience moving forward.

I am a pragmatic Software Engineer with a passion for applied AI engineering and a track record of transforming innovative ideas into scalable, user-centric applications. Currently, as a Founding Engineer (AI) at Alphana.ai, I focus on developing AI-powered content management tools that enable users to effortlessly repurpose their videos, podcasts, and ideas into various short-form content formats like YouTube Shorts and social media threads. By leveraging advanced AI technologies such as transcription, clip extraction, and content generation, we streamline the content creation process, helping users maximize their reach and engagement across multiple platforms.
