What's more valuable: relationship selling or solution selling?

most sales reps kill deals with their follow-ups (here’s how to fix it)

so i’ve been in sales for a while, and the one thing that still blows my mind? how many reps completely tank their chances with shitty follow-ups. not because they’re spamming people, because they’re sending nothing.

"just checking in"
"wanted to circle back"
"following up on my last email"

like, checking in on what? you never gave them anything to actually respond to. prospects aren’t mind readers. if you don’t say something useful, they’re gonna ignore you.

so what actually works? here’s what i’ve seen:

instead of "just following up," try:

"i recorded a 2-min video showing how [similar company] cut their onboarding time by 40%. thought of you because you mentioned this was a bottleneck last time we talked."

instead of "wanted to circle back," try:

"saw this article about [industry trend] and immediately thought of our convo. the part about [specific insight] lines up with what you said about [their challenge]."

instead of "any updates?" try:
"quick question, are you still focused on [goal they mentioned], or have priorities shifted? context changed, so i don’t want to waste your time."

the pattern here is simple:

• give value first
• show you actually listened
• make it about them, not your quota
• make it easy to respond (ask a specific question)

In 2017, my life changed forever – I lost my job due to a freak fire.

And that wasn't even the worst part:

There isn't one.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but:

I'm about to say something unpopular.

But by someone desperately needs to...

Don't start a business if you're not willing to:

• Work weekends while others binge Netflix
• Work for free in the beginning (often for 6+ months)
• Invest money into yourself when you're already tight
• Sacrifice time with friends & family who don't get it

The $100K blueprint everyone ignores (but shouldn't)

It's not:

Because they understand something crucial:

Your average client value matters more than your client count.

10 clients at $10,000 = $100K
100 clients at $1,000 = $100K
1,000 clients at $100 = $100K

Guess which one is easier to manage?
Guess which one has higher profit margins?
Guess which one doesn't require a massive audience?

The ascending price model is your secret weapon:

Every "yes" at your new price builds confidence
Every client success raises your market value
Every testimonial justifies higher rates

Start at $500.
Move to $625.
Then $780.
Then $975.

By client #50, you're charging $1,500+ for the same service you started at $500.

(and mind you -  25% is just a suggestion - you can always go higher the more comfortable and systematized you get)

Same expertise. 
Same deliverable. 

Different positioning.

Because here's the thing about pricing:

It's not about what you think you're worth.

It's about what the market will pay for transformation.

(And then again...)

And the market will pay more as you prove your value.

Most creators are one decision away from six figures.

My nephew asked me what I do for work yesterday.

I said: 

"I help people talk to money."

He looked confused...

So I explained it like this:

"Imagine money has ears. Most people are shouting the wrong words, in the wrong places, to the wrong ears, at the wrong time.

I teach them how to whisper the right things."

You’re generating leads. You’re closing sales.

You’ll start uncovering the stories they’re already telling themselves about:

Their pains
Their desires
Their obstacles
Their frustrations

And when your content enters their world instead of forcing them into yours—

You become the no-brainer choice to solve their problem.

This shift isn’t just about making tweaks to your content.

It’s about rethinking your entire approach so that every post, email, and message serves as a stepping stone toward working with you.

When you stop making content about you—and start making it about them—

Everything changes.

Your positioning doesn't come from your resume.

It comes from the problem you solve.

Who you serve = The specific outcome they want

This isn't about age, gender, or income.

It's about the transformation:

• Stressed entrepreneurs who want systems
• Lonely professionals who want connection
• Broke millennials who want wealth

When you know these two things, everything else becomes simple.

Your content writes itself.

Because you're not trying to impress everyone.

You're solving one problem for one person.

The gurus want you to think it's complicated.

That you need:

• Complex funnels
• Multiple revenue streams
• Years of "authority building"

Lies.

Simple beats sophisticated.

Clear beats clever.

Every damn time.

If you think success is about being the best—this will change your mind.

Because here’s what actually creates momentum:

Effort.
Consistency.
And the willingness to look a little stupid for a while.

Over time, that combo beats genius almost every time.

Everyone’s chasing the perfect strategy.

The brilliant idea.

The overnight win.

But most people don’t need a breakthrough.

They need movement.

Reps.
Feedback.
Refinement.

That’s how progress is made—especially when it’s quiet and invisible.

You don’t need more ideas.

You need action.

→ Action that looks boring
→ Action that feels uncomfortable
→ Action that makes you cringe, because you’re figuring it out

But that’s the exact action that builds confidence.

And credibility.

And eventually—results.

Here’s the truth:

Most people overcomplicate getting to $10K/month.

1. Get one client

Stop building the "perfect" offer. 

Start with one person who has a problem you can solve. 

Even if it's messy. Even if it's not "scalable"

2. Do a great job

Over-deliver on everything. 
Show up early, stay late, anticipate their needs. 

This client becomes your case study for the next one.

3. Charge more (to get another client)

Double your price. Seriously. 
Your first client proved the value exists. 

Your second client should pay for that proof.

4. Deliver an even better result

You learned from client #1. 

Apply those lessons to client #2. 

Better systems, clearer communication, faster results.

5. Repeat until you make $10K/month

Keep raising prices as you get better. 

$500 becomes $1000. 
$1000 becomes $2000. 
$2000 becomes $5000.

Most people want the complex strategy.

But the simple path works faster.

One client at a time.
One great result at a time.
One price increase at a time.

Until you're making more money than most people with "big" businesses.

Here's how to find your $100k niche:

1. List every problem you've personally solved
2. Identify which ones people regularly ask you about
3. Find the intersection of "urgent" and "expensive"
4. Test your language with real humans

Don't ask 

"What's my niche?"

Ask 

"Whose problem am I uniquely positioned to solve?"

The money follows the problem.

The bigger the problem, the bigger the opportunity.

Stop being a generalist hoping someone needs everything.

Start being the specialist people desperately need for one thing.

Picture this scenario:

Two coaches launch the exact same program. 

• Same offer
• Same price point
• Same audience size

Coach A makes $3,000
Coach B makes $15,000

The difference isn't their expertise
It's not their audience 

It's frame control

Coach A: The Commodity Approach

Sends an email: 

"Hey everyone, I'm opening enrollment for my coaching program next Tuesday. Here are the details, here are the benefits, here's the price."

Tuesday comes. Doors open. Then they wait.

The response is crickets.

 By Thursday, panic sets in. 

They send another email with the same details. 

They're begging people to buy.

• Monday morning: 6 spots gone in 3 hours
• Thursday: Remaining 4 spots filled
• Friday: 3 more people wanting in

Coach B lets them in at 10% higher price.

Result: $15,000 and a waitlist for the next round.

Here's the lesson:

Stop launching like you're applying for permission. 

Start creating demand before revealing the offer.

Your audience doesn't want another program. 

They want to be part of something exclusive. 
They want to feel chosen.

That's the difference between begging and building

Between commodity and authority. 

Between $3K months and $15K months.

The money isn't in what you're selling. 

It's in how you position yourself before anyone knows what you're selling.
