- “This isn’t production ready!!!”
- “Are you seriously saying this can be rolled out to customers?!?”

No ones saying that… (atleast I don’t read it as they are) 

And let whoever wants to vibe code their CRM, run off and do it

I think everyone pretty fundamentally agrees (and Imo is assumed)

That we should use AI for first pass, use it on low level tasks, build fun apps, connect up APIs, make life easier, draft a bunch of new content angles, score your ideas… 

then upgrade to human review / editing.

Series B SaaS lead asked me today: 

"What do you do if post impressions were low"

Here's what I don't do:
- Think the post sucks 
- Think I'm shadow banned 
- Think low impressions are a bad thing 

Post impressions are a function of 5 things 

In order of importance
- Idea
- Written hook
- Image
- Content
- Formatting 

I will work all the way back up the pyramid 

And ask myself: 

Did the idea deserve those impressions?

And here's where it gets subjective...

A post about a client case studies deserves low impressions.

You're not entertaining or educating without self interest...

So why should LinkedIn push it? 

So yeah if you got 'low' impressions then it was fully deserved.

Nothing is wrong or broken. 

But hey if your goal is to get high impressions 

Then just write a high impression idea post 

- Hiring 
- Rage bait 
- Personal journey
- How much money you make 
- Something to trigger people  

I promise you it's that easy

But then you're going to realize, very quickly - that impressions alone are NOT your goal. 

They never were and never are.

How I work:
I work holistically across the entire GTM function. Most companies treat marketing, product, and positioning as separate problems. I don't. I believe marketing should focus on the market, the product, positioning, and demand. There are systems and strategies to get this right. When you do, you get the growth you want. Marketing is a discipline. 

I love working in sprints. I read Sprint by Jake Knapp 10 years ago and haven't stopped thinking about it since. It's a tactic I use to compress months of work into focused, structured sprints that improve decision quality.

I love creativity. I love data. I believe you need both, and most companies get this wrong. Balancing science and creativity matters: Data without creativity is just copying what everyone else is doing / Creativity without data is just wild shots in the dark.
The best growth comes from blending both. Data tells you what's working. Creativity tells you what's possible. Together, they tell you what to do.

What I've learned:
The difference between a company that gets back to growth and one that's stuck isn't luck. It's decision quality. Companies that test assumptions, measure what matters, and focus on structurally advantaged markets outperform those that don't.

My background:
20+ years in and around marketing. I started in a design agency at 16 (mainly a tea boy). I've worked with founders, CMOs, CFOs, and PE/VC partners across B2B SaaS at every stage. I was part of RingCentral's journey from $300M to $1.1B. I've worked with companies like Affise , RealVNC, Dealfront, and Graia. With a revenue range of $10M to $100M. I've also support start-ups in the pre PMF stage. 

Most of my recent work focuses on scale-ups (£10M-£50M ARR) dealing with growth pressure.

What I'm focused on:
Understanding how companies move from complexity and uncertainty to shared understanding and confident action. How they make better growth decisions. How they build the kind of repeatable, sustainable revenue that actually matters.

When I'm not solving growth problems, you'll find me in the ocean. I'm a life learner, I've completed Mark Ritson's Mini MBA in Marketing and Mini MBA in Brand Marketing, as well as Winning By Designs Revenue Architecture.
