I'm currently VP Marketing for audience research startup, SparkToro. I also send a personal newsletter on Substack, and I'm working on a book due out this summer! (More to come on that.)

I've spoken at conferences like AdWorld, MozCon, and SaaStock. I've guest lectured at Columbia Business School, Cornell University, Stanford University, and University of Washington. In my spare time, I do marketing/content consulting, and I teach Content Marketing 201 on Maven. I'm also a Le Cordon Bleu-trained chef, and a former journalist.

As a little girl, I’d spend my weekends admiring the pages of my favorite teeny bopper magazines: Tiger Beat, Teen Beat, Bop, Twist, and countless others I’d find at the newsstand. 

But it wasn’t just the hunky heartthrobs and fun quizzes that made me love these magazines. I was fascinated with the ads, colors, layouts, photography, graphics, and copywriting. And this fascination was more than a childhood phase — it lasted beyond my teenage years and influenced my career. 

That fangirl grew up to earn a bachelor’s in advertising and public relations and a master’s in mass communication. I’ve spent more than a decade studying, teaching, and working in marketing and media.

Today, I work with clients to refine their content strategies and strengthen brand messaging, helping them spark meaningful conversations and drive measurable conversions.

As an educator at the University of Florida, I’ve taught over a thousand students how to harness the power of content to connect with audiences and build communities. I’ve also shared my insights on stages, in webinars, and on podcasts, bringing energy (and a little pop culture fun!) to every platform.
