In a world telling me to find alignment......I realized that was impossible. The work version of me didn't want to leave early to go be with the kiddos. The mom version of me didn't want to miss a moment with them. I wanted to be fiercely independent and yet also wanted to find love again. Other versions of me didn't want to feel responsible for anything or anyone. This diversity within me led to the creation of my Character Theory Framework. Hi, I'm Roslyn. I'm an executive coach and founder at Within, a personal development platform offering coaching, content and community to purpose-led founders.

Prior to Within, I co-founded The GIST, a women-run sports media brand making sports more inclusive, accessible and fun for underserved sports fans. While at The GIST, I was recognized as Forbes 30u30 in their media category and accelerated and funded by global brands like Facebook, Comcast NBC, Techstars and Billie Jean King’s Trailblazer program.

As the former Head of Ops, Finance &amp; Growth, I grew The GIST alongside my co-founders to a multi-million dollar company run by a 40-person team — predominantly of women and non-binary folks — providing millions GISTers with relatable, equal sports coverage.

Despite the success, after five years of being in startup building mode, I woke up one morning with a devastating case of founder burnout and eventually made the heartbreaking decision to step out of my operating role to heal.

Ultimately my burnout was a manifestation of the misalignment I was feeling from my authentic self, from my soul. I had adopted a persona of this successful, put-together female founder that I thought I needed to be to be accepted in the world. In doing so, I suppressed other parts of myself—parts that were important and that needed to be seen, honored and expressed in my work and life. 

Over the last two years, I’ve been on a profound healing journey that’s sent me deep within myself and brought me much closer to who I want to be in this world. Today, I help purpose-led founders scale their impact while staying rooted in who they are, and without burning out.

My approach blends my experience as a startup co-founder, a CPA and Head of Operations, Finance & Growth, with my coaching training and my own personal healing journey. 

I’m here to create a world where the best entrepreneurs are empowered to build the most inspired, successful and impactful businesses in ways that are aligned and feel good for them, while living full, meaningful, and connected lives.
