Your “Open to Work” banner might be working against you, even though it was created to help. I built something else to help you - introducing the Known-For Banner Creator:

When LinkedIn introduced it in 2020, it made perfect sense. Layoffs were widespread and sudden. The banner functioned as a coordination signal: we’re all navigating this at the same time.

It worked because people interpreted it with context and empathy.

But the market is different now.

Today, profiles are skimmed in seconds, often alongside hundreds of others. In that environment, viewers don’t consciously analyze your situation, they rely on quick signals to understand where you fit. 

And a signal of availability does not answer the question hiring managers are actually trying to solve:

“What problem would this person remove for me?”

So I built a small alternative called the Known-For Banner.

Instead of announcing that you need a job, it shows the thing you are GREAT at.

Examples:

• Fixes onboarding drop-off
• Turns expertise into pipeline
• Aligns product and revenue
• Cuts reporting confusion
• Builds adoption post-launch

13 meetings. One day.

And in between those calls, I:

→ Built 4 custom sales decks for new prospects

→ Created a live brand discovery audit during a call

→ Had every action item from every meeting captured and time-blocked automatically

→ Built a new product module from a call transcript

→ Drafted follow-up emails for 6 different meetings

→ Published a full 4-week editorial calendar with 50 pieces of content

All in parallel. (And let me tell you, this doesn’t hold a candle to the entire team system one of our developers set up to support his work. Wild!)

There are new levels to unlock AI productivity without compromising human input or integrity. 

I started at Level 1, think “summarize this document,” and have unlocked Level 4.

The Visibility Equation: Turning Coverage Into Your Next Pitch

Not to be self-serving, but this could be the most important thing you read today about prompt data. Brutal fact: your prompt data might be faulty. Either because you bought it that way or you ran it without technical knowledge. 

This week a post on Reddit went viral. A company had been using an AI agent to answer leadership questions about metrics. Everyone loved it. Three months later they discovered it had been hallucinating the entire time. Their VP of Sales made territory decisions based on data that did not exist. 

Something similar is happening in PR right now.

We are accelerating into a space where the guidelines around prompt intelligence have not been set. 

Here are the four issues I'm seeing:

𝟭. 𝗡𝗼 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮 𝗳𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸.

Without telling the AI system who it is thinking as: customers, stakeholders, employees, etc... , the strategic context matters or every output defaults to generic. 

𝟮. 𝗡𝗼 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿.

Most SaaS tools do not disclose what their AI is pulling from or when that knowledge was last verified. If you cannot see what the AI is drawing from, you cannot audit what it produces.

𝟯. 𝗡𝗼 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗴𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

Brand visibility, reputation management, thought leadership, and crisis response each require a completely different prompt architecture. 

Let's take this a step further: 

Technology strategist Shelly Palmer gave the most valuable advice. Google and Chrome launched an early preview of something called WebMCP. 

• Right now, AI agents browsing the web have to guess which buttons to click and which information to trust by scraping pages or analyzing screenshots.

• WebMCP changes that entirely. Websites will be able to declare their functions directly to AI agents, handing them a structured map of what everything does and means.

• Google and Microsoft co-authored the standard together. Chrome and Edge control nearly 75% of global browsers. 

• It reduces the cost of AI navigation by 89% and makes AI-driven browsing dramatically faster and more precise.

• The formal launch is expected by mid-2026 at Google I/O. 

AI agents will soon be navigating your digital presence directly, interpreting what your brand means, what it offers, and how it should be represented, based entirely on the data structures and prompts behind your content.

So what do you do with this?

→ Audit the AI-generated data your brand is currently acting on. Ask who built the prompts, what persona was defined, and how the outputs were verified.

→ Before trusting any AI-driven strategy, ask: was a brand persona defined, was the knowledge source validated, and is each output mapped to a specific brand goal?

→ Start thinking about your digital presence not just as content for humans but as structured information that AI agents will interpret and act on at scale.

Three shifts happened this week that are about to change how every brand competes for visibility in AI. 


1. The Model Context Protocol just became an industry standard.

Anthropic donated MCP — the Model Context Protocol — to the Linux Foundation's new Agentic AI Foundation, co-founded with Block and OpenAI. Google, Microsoft, AWS, Cloudflare, and Bloomberg are backing it.

If you don't know MCP yet: it's the universal standard that lets AI agents connect to and take action in external systems. Think of it as USB for AI, one protocol that lets any agent plug into any tool, database, CRM, website, or platform.

There are already 10,000+ active MCP servers. It's built into ChatGPT, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Cursor, and VS Code.

Why this matters for comms: MCP is the infrastructure layer that makes agentic commerce possible. 

When an AI agent can read your product specs, compare your pricing, check your reviews, and initiate a purchase through a standardized protocol and that changes how brands get discovered and chosen.

2. AI agents are moving from recommendation to transaction.

Six months ago, the conversation was "AI agents will eventually make purchases." Today, enterprise procurement teams are already using AI agents to evaluate vendors and generate shortlists.

Here's what makes this important to understand:

When a human evaluates your brand, they go through an emotional, nonlinear journey. They see your ad, read a case study, ask a colleague, visit your booth, follow you on LinkedIn. Over weeks or months, they build enough trust to buy.

An AI agent does this in seconds. 

It pulls your entity definition from multiple sources. Cross-references your claims against third-party validation. Compares your structured data against competitors. Scores and decides.

3. The "knowledge graph" is no longer Google's. It's everyone's.

For 15 years, "knowledge graph" meant Google's Knowledge Graph — the structured database powering those info panels on the right side of Search.

That model is over.

Every major AI platform now builds its own entity understanding from its own training data. ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Claude each have their own. And they don't agree with each other.

I tested this last week. I asked four AI platforms the same question about a Fortune 500 brand: "What does [company] do?" I got four different answers — different emphasis, different claims, different competitive comparisons.

Your brand doesn't have one entity definition in AI anymore. 

You have  one per model, each constructed from different training data, source weightings, and extraction methods.

STAGE 1: Prompts

It starts like this for everyone who is non-technical. Asking ChatGPT things. Getting answers.

STAGE 2: GPT Creation

Then I started building with AI instead of just talking to it.

Custom GPTs. Personas. Instructions. Memory. I started shaping these tools around how I think.

This is where something clicked. 

STAGE 3: Vibe Coding

This is where non-developers like me started to get dangerous.

Vibe coding = describing what you want to build in plain English and watching it appear. 

I started shipping things I never thought I could build. Small tools. Automations. 

Things that actually saved me hours every week.

But there was still a ceiling. AI could help me think and create — but it couldn't actually act in my world.

Until it could.

STAGE 4: THE UNLOCK: MCP + OpenClaw + Claude Cowork

MCP — Model Context Protocol — is the thing I didn't know I'd been waiting for my entire career.

Here's what it means in plain English: your AI can now connect to your real tools. Your calendar. Your tasks. Your files. Your email. Your data. 

And it  can do things with them.

OpenClaw and Claude Cowork are how I access that power. And the combination of the three has completely changed how I operate.

Rook is how my brain works, externalized.

Kai is my OpenClaw agent and honestly the closest thing I have to a real chief of staff.

Kai researches. Kai summarizes. Kai manages context across my calendar, tasks, and messages. When I'm thinking through a big decision, Kai thinks with me. When I need a briefing, Kai has it ready.

The difference between Kai and just "using ChatGPT" is like the difference between texting a smart friend and having a senior operator who knows your entire business embedded in your team.

This is a little story about the productivity dashboard I built and why it changed how I think about AI as an operational tool.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗽

I'm running something called RookOS, a productivity layer built on top of OpenClaw (an AI agent framework) with a few key plug-ins wired together:

→ Content ideation pipeline that captures ideas from any channel and queues them for drafting

→ Task management integration that pulls from Todoist, Monday.com, and calendar in one view

→ A single dashboard where I can see everything — ideas, drafts, tasks, client status — without switching between the 52 tabs I keep open

→ Autosuggest sub-agents for even better workflow one time a day (literally anything you can think of) 

It took a few hours to configure. Not weeks.

AI productivity is about building systems.

The dashboard doesn't replace my thinking. 

It eliminates the friction between thinking and doing. 

When I have an idea at 6 AM, it goes into a queue. By the time I sit down with coffee, there's a draft waiting — in my voice, for the right platform, ready for me to refine.

Beautiful, glorious workflow architecture.

So when I see "AI isn't helping anyone work better" — I think the real question is:

Are you using AI as a tool, or as a system?

Because a tool gives you one answer. A system changes how you operate.

5 ways GenAI Wire releases [also: AI Notice] are changing how brands show up in AI search. (And why traditional press releases don't cut it for AI SEO / GEO.)

Here's what a GenAI Wire release actually does differently:

1. It creates a citation-rich footprint AI trusts. 
2. It maps directly to how people actually search AI. 
3. It reinforces your content pillars + high authority pages.
4. It gives AI systems structured entity data to work with. 
5. Recency.

1. The Authority Anchor Release - Editorial style tied to a topic you want to own.

TIP: Include a KEY FACTS block (5-7 citable bullet points with stats, not marketing language)

Identify which prompts align with higher search volumes, too. Then use one of the styles above and move. 

5. The Listicle Release

Formatted exactly like a top-performing editorial list post. AI loves retrieving ranked, structured content when answering "what are the best..." or "top ways to..." prompts.

Headline format: "5 Ways [Topic] Is Changing [Outcome]" or "Top [Number] [Category] for [Audience] in [Year]"

Why it works: Listicle structure maps directly to how AI surfaces "best of" and "top" answers. Ranking formats are consistently retrieved and cited across ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini!

6. The News Announcement Release

Yes, you can still announce things. But the structure has to work for machines, not just journalists.

The format I recommend works across all six:

-Topic-first headline (60-80 characters) 
-4 subheads as bullets (table of contents for AI crawlers) 
-Dateline Brand hyperlinked in sentence one
-URL KEY FACTS block (5-7 citable stats) 
-Body copy 
-FAQ section (5-7 real user prompts, written conversationally) 
-Published Research and Resources section 
-Structured Data entity block 
-Boilerplate
