I've always been drawn to the challenge of building something from nothing. It lights me up.

At Merrill Lynch, I built and scaled an entirely new team and business line in response to Dodd-Frank regulation—managing 10+ direct reports globally and serving institutional clients like BlackRock, Blackstone, and PIMCO. At Trinet, I created their VC/PE channel sales strategy for the Midwest from scratch and exceeded 200% of quota in less than a year.

But it wasn't until I became a venture investor that I found my real calling. I was working with portfolio founders every day, and I kept seeing the same gaps: amazing products and brilliant teams whose growth was stalled by missing or inefficient revenue systems. They needed a strategic thought partner who was also willing to roll up their sleeves and build alongside them. 

That's why I founded Amplify Group in 2022.

Today, I work as a fractional CRO/CMO for B2B SaaS startups (<$10MM ARR), offering something unique: enterprise-level sales and marketing expertise combined with a startup operator's perspective on what actually drives growth.

I believe AI is extraordinarily powerful - but most teams are using it to solve the wrong problems. 

The result? Every inbox is a war zone. Every buyer has developed a sixth sense for irrelevant outreach and deletes it on sight. It's getting harder to open doors in sales — not because buyers aren't buying, but because the noise has become almost impossible to cut through.

When you're trying to break into enterprise accounts, it's a game of precision - not volume.

Sales is still human. AI is the future and here to stay. How do we balance the two for real GTM success? 

As a Fractional CRO/CMO, I've been wrestling with this for my clients constantly. And I keep coming back to the same conviction: sales really comes down to two things...

> Trust — that you can actually deliver what you're selling. The bigger the deal, the more non-negotiable this is.

For trust, I know what to do. We're investing in things like authentic thought leadership, founder brand content that goes a layer deeper, strategic partnerships, and external proof — customer reviews and case studies that let your buyers hear it from someone other than you.

> Timing — reaching an account at the exact moment they have a genuine reason to buy.

Timing is harder. Reps are generally reaching out on a cadence, not on a signal. And I became convinced that third-party signal intelligence — knowing when something meaningful has actually changed inside a prospect's business — is the real unlock.

So I started building ABM Intel by Amplify Group.

I am not an engineer. But I'm very lucky to be marrying one. He took this idea and architected it into something genuinely powerful, and I'm so excited to finally be sharing it with the world.

The ABM Intel Manifesto: Precision over volume, timing over noise

Guessing you had a sales standup yesterday...was it effective? Was it efficient? Did you walk away thinking....I know exactly what's going on in our pipeline and what I need to do this week? 

Usually the answer is...no. 

The most common format I see is...

> Each person fumbling with the CRM - not sure where to start. 
> Talking through EVERY deal in the pipeline...literally. Even when nothing has changed since last week. 
> Repeatedly asking...is this accurate? Or did X forget to update it? 

The solve? 

1. Pipeline hygiene dashboard a recurring report sent out on Friday's and Monday mornings detailing exactly which deals are missing critical info or are out of date (close date passed etc). A cultural expectation that this is reviewed and actioned before* the pipeline meeting. 

2. A standing agenda every week - yep the same agenda so everyone knows what to expect. 

Agenda: 

- Announcements, updates on product/initiatives, discuss a campaign idea (5-10 mins) 

- Pipeline review (20-30 mins) 

> TOFU - did we create* enough new opportunities last week / MTD to statistically hit our goal? Where did the newly created deals come from (source)? Does that align with recent efforts/spend? 

> MOFU - do we have enough pipeline coverage for the current quarter rev goal? If not - what are we going to do about it...this week. 

> BOFU - this is where we discuss specific deals (not the whole pipeline). Discuss all large opportunities + late stage opps. All hands on deck. What do you (we) need to get these across the finish line? 

That's it. Rinse, repeat. 

Set the expectation that the pipeline should be clean and accurate BEFORE the meeting. Save (most) individual deal reviews for 1-1 convos.
