This is the bit where I’m supposed to tell you how awesome I am. It’s also usually written in the third person, which is kind of weird, so I won’t do that.

Here's how I responded in 14 seconds.

First, understand this- “Let me think” is not a rejection. It’s usually a signal.

When a client says “let me think,” it’s rarely about time; it’s about missing clarity.

So here’s what I didn’t do-
🔻I didn’t push.
🔻I didn’t discount.
🔻I didn’t start convincing.

Because if someone needs thinking time,
you haven’t finished THE JOB YET.

Here’s what I actually said:
“That’s completely fair. Before you think, can I check one thing? Do you feel you have everything you need to make a clear decision?”

PAUSE.

That one question changes the dynamic.
Why?

Because most “let me think” responses mean 1 of 3 things:
▪️We didn’t communicate value clearly enough
▪️We didn’t go deep enough into their pain
▪️We didn’t cover risk reversal properly

After 11 years in sales and ~7.8M in high-ticket revenue, I’ve learned this the hard way:

People don’t delay decisions because they’re unsure about YOU. They delay because they’re unsure about OUTCOMES.

So I calmly bring it back to clarity. I cover:
1- What result they’re actually paying for
2- What options they have (pay in full vs payment plan)
3- How risk is reversed (money-back, or working until results are delivered)

Not to sell. To remove friction.
Top salespeople aren’t afraid of hearing a “no.”

They’re more afraid of vague maybes that waste everyone’s time. Sometimes I even say this:
“I have thick skin. If this isn’t right for you, just tell me. I respect your time and mine.”

That honesty builds more trust than five follow-ups ever will.

When a client says “let me think,” don’t chase.
Ask better questions.

Because the fastest way to feel stuck is to live someone else’s potential instead of your own.

The first call is not for selling.
It’s for qualifying.

❌ Here’s what I stopped doing:
Trying to sound impressive
Pitching my process
Explaining my price
Rushing to close

✅What I started doing instead:
Being okay with “not a fit”
Asking better questions
Letting silence sit

That shift alone changed who I started ATTRACTING.

If you need to convince on call one,
you’re already playing defense.

The right clients don’t need pressure.
They need clarity.

Some days you finish work and still feel behind.

Nothing went wrong.
Nothing meaningful moved either.

That’s the trap of busy work.
Progress comes from protecting focus, not extending hours.
 
When attention is scattered, even long days stay average.
When it’s locked in, a few hours create real output.

If your day didn’t move one important thing forward,
it didn’t matter how full it looked.

Focus first.
Everything else can wait.

5 sales psychology shifts I’m upgrading this year:

1- Relevance beats personalization

Using someone’s name or company isn’t personalization.

This is 👎
“Loved your profile. Thought we could connect.”

This works 👍
“Noticed you’re hiring SDRs while scaling outbound; most founders hit a lead quality dip at this stage.”

Relevance = their current problem, not their bio.

2- Stop pitching. Start mirroring.

The fastest way to lose a reply?
Explaining what you do.

Instead, mirror their internal thoughts.

People reply when they think:
“Wait… this is exactly what I’m dealing with.”

Use phrases like:
“Most teams at this stage struggle with…”
“A common mistake I see founders make is…”

You’re not selling.
You’re naming the pain they haven’t articulated yet.

3- Specific beats impressive

“Helping businesses scale” is invisible.
But this gets attention:

“Helping B2B founders turn LinkedIn conversations into 3–5 qualified calls a week.”

Specificity builds trust faster than credentials.

4- Lower the commitment, raise the curiosity

Don’t ask for a call too soon.
Ask for permission to add value.

Examples that work:

“Open to a 2-minute Loom with one insight?”

“Want me to show you where leads are leaking?”

Low effort for them.
High-curiosity trigger.

5- Follow-ups aren’t reminders. They’re reframes.

If you’re just saying “Following up,” stop.

Every follow-up should introduce:
📌 a new angle
📌 a new insight
📌 a new observation

Silence doesn’t mean no.
It means you haven’t said the right thing yet.

When your message feels like it was written for them,
replying becomes the easiest decision.

What’s the biggest mistake you see people making in outreach today?

P.S. Sales outreach isn’t about convincing; it’s about resonance.

I use this vocabulary with my team to close 7-figure dollar deals.
Words don’t just communicate, they position value, intent, and trust.

Here’s the shift that changes everything:

❌ Cost → ✅ Investment
People don’t invest in costs.
They invest in outcomes, growth, and transformation.

❌ Selling → ✅ Helping
Selling creates resistance.
Helping creates trust.

❌ Pitch → ✅ Conversation
Pitches feel scripted.
Conversations feel safe.

❌ Closing the deal → ✅ Enabling a decision
You don’t “close” people.
You help them decide with clarity.

❌ Objections → ✅ Concerns
Objections sound combative.
Concerns invite understanding.

❌ Convincing → ✅ Guiding
Convincing pushes.
Guiding leads.

❌ Follow-up → ✅ Re-engagement
Follow-ups feel needy.
Re-engagement feels thoughtful.

❌ Commission → ✅ Impact earned
Focus on impact first.
Income follows naturally.

❌ Discount → ✅ Risk reversal
High-ticket buyers don’t want cheap.
They want safety and certainty.

❌ Features → ✅ Outcomes
Features explain the product.
Outcomes explain the future.

❌ Benefits → ✅ Transformation
Benefits are logical.
Transformation is emotional.

❌ Handling objections → ✅ Clarifying reality
Most objections exist because clarity is missing.

❌ Urgency → ✅ Priority
Pressure creates fear.
Priority creates movement.

❌ Money problem → ✅ Priority problem
When pain is real, money is found.

❌ Teaching → ✅ Solution sharing
Teaching feels superior.
Solution sharing feels collaborative.

High-ticket deals are not closed by tactics.
They’re earned through language that respects intelligence, intent, and trust.

Not listening to reply. Listening to understand.

You listen for:
-what they say
-what they avoid
-where they hesitate
-the emotion behind the problem

🚩Most deals are lost because people rush to talk. If you miss this, nothing else works.

This is where most people hurry and lose. 

It’s the ability to:
-decode the real problem (not the surface complaint)
-understand where they’re stuck in their journey
-see why previous attempts didn’t work

💡This is the shift from seller → problem solver.

No generic frameworks. No copied playbooks.

This is about:
-customising the solution to their stage, urgency, and mindset
-connecting your offer directly to their pain
-showing fit, not features

✅ People don’t buy solutions. (actually)
They buy 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 + 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲.

𝟰. 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁 & 𝗘𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆: 𝟭𝟱%
Deals close when people feel:
-safe
-not judged
-not pressured
-genuinely understood

This comes from:
-your tone
-your pauses
-your honesty
-your ability to say, “This may not be right for you.”

📌 Ironically, that’s what makes people say yes.

𝟱. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝟭𝟬%
This is where you:
-summarise their problem better than they can
-explain next steps clearly
-give direction without dominance

✅Confusion delays decisions. Clarity creates momentum.

Closing isn’t a moment. It’s the byproduct of how well you listen, diagnose, and lead the conversation.

Hard work isn’t working 12-14 hours a day.

It’s doing the things that make your stomach drop.
The things most people delay, avoid, or talk themselves out of.

That idea stopped me.

For a long time, I thought hard work meant long hours, hustle, and burning out quietly.

But this reframed everything.

Right now, building my personal brand means showing up on video.
Speaking publicly.
Putting my thoughts out there where they can be judged.

It’s uncomfortable.
Some days, it’s genuinely scary.

And that’s exactly why it counts.

Because real hard work isn’t about time.
It’s about courage.

The courage to choose progress over comfort.
To do the thing that moves you forward, even when your mind wants you to stay safe.

If you’re feeling uncomfortable, you might not be doing it wrong.
You might just be doing the real work.

Seeing the world is amazing, but sometimes home is where you realize just how lucky you are.❤️

Most sales problems are misdiagnosed.

People think:
“Price is the issue.”
“Leads are the issue.”
“Budget is the issue.”
“Prospects aren’t serious.”

In reality, sales fails much earlier than the pitch.

It fails at perception.
Prospects don’t reject offers.

They reject unclear value, unsafe decisions, and poorly framed choices.

When someone says:

📌 “You’re expensive” → they haven’t anchored outcomes yet.

📌 “Let me think” → something feels risky or unresolved.

📌 “Send me details” → the conversation stayed surface-level.

📌 “No budget” → either priority is missing or value isn’t internalized.

Sales psychology isn’t about persuasion. It’s about reducing friction in decision-making.

High-quality sales conversations do three things well:

1: They make the problem feel urgent but safe to solve.

2: They position the seller as a guide, not a chaser.
	
3: They help the buyer justify the decision to themselves.

That’s why great salespeople don’t talk more. They frame better.

They don’t push urgency. 
They reveal the cost of inaction.

They don’t compete on price.
They compete on clarity.

And once you understand this, sales stops feeling like convincing…
and starts feeling like alignment.

If you’re struggling with objections, don’t fix your script.
Fix how the decision is being experienced.

That’s where deals are actually won.
