Just to berkenalan and explore macam mana kita boleh buat CSR dengan lebih baik in the coming months.

Teamwork makes dream work! 

Itu semua cliche jer Doc...

You’ve heard them all right…

Another one that’s often dropped here on LinkedIn! 

“They say if you want to go fast, go alone. But if you want to go far, go together.”

Bila baca memang best, so ramai lah coaches suka guna. 

But nobody told us that “going together” comes with it’s own sets of challenges.

The hardest lesson for me, this last 2 years working with doctors, is not so much the business ideas or strategies, rather it’s the softer side of things.

The “communication” with fellow team members and partners.

Part ni yang kita tak faham
Part ni yang kita selalu fail
Part ni yang kita akan frust 

Kalau tak ada TPC (theory, principles and concepts) and mental models yang Pak Izzi ajar and kami implement di Mafar Group dah lama dah…

Saya bertumbuk dengan Arieffahmi Abd Razak di sungai. 

Saya keluar dari group ni…

And I have the best story too! 

But it didn’t happen that way, and there are many reasons why. 

That’s what we are “really” sharing with fellow doctors.

Aku ajak dia jumpa, tapi last minit. 
Dia agak upset laa, tapi kami jumpa jugak. 
Thanks Shah sebab make time, walaupun kau busy hari tu. 

Sembang sikit pasal direction tentang podcast Recharge Usahawan. Dia bagi suggestion dan ideas. 

Tapi tiba-tiba dia share tentang satu situasi yang dia hadapi, dan dia bagi satu analogi yang buat aku terus pause.

Dia tanya, “Al…kau pernah fikir tak pasal mata lebah dengan mata lalat?”

Mula-mula aku gelak. Bunyi macam random. Tapi bila dia cerita, aku rasa macam dia tengah cakap pasal aku...haha!

Dia kata, kalau kau letak lalat dalam taman bunga paling cantik, dia tetap akan cari benda busuk dulu. Bukan sebab lalat tu jahat. Memang itu radar dia.

Lepas tu dia sambung, kalau kau letak lebah dekat tempat yang kotor, dia tetap cari bunga juga. Dia cari madu. Bukan sebab lebah tu baik. Memang itu radar dia.

Tempat sama. 
Realiti sama. 
Cuma fokus berbeza.

Then aku dapat aha moment, aku dapat connect the dots dengan topik "self-awareness" yang Pak Izzi share kan. 

Ada masa, aku punya self-awareness pun low jugak! 

Dekat situ aku sedar, self-awareness ni bukan benda besar yang kau kena pergi retreat baru dapat. Kadang-kadang self-awareness tu simple… kau perasan apa yang mata kau asyik cari bila kau penat, bila kau tertekan, bila kau rasa tak cukup.

Sebab masa kita stress, kita mudah jadi “mata lalat”. Cepat nampak yang tak kena. Cepat nampak salah orang. Cepat nampak yang kurang. Dan bila itu yang kita scan hari-hari… itu jugak yang memenuhi kepala.

Energy follows attention. 
What you focus on expands.
Where you put your attention, your energy follows. 
 
Bukan maksudnya kita kena pura-pura semuanya ok. Bukan toxic positivity. Cuma satu shift kecil.

Apa yang kau cari, itu yang kau jumpa. 
Apa yang kau jumpa, itu yang kau percaya. 

Apa yang kau percaya, itu yang kau bawa dalam cara kau bercakap, cara kau buat keputusan, cara kau layan orang.

Sejak tu aku buat satu check-in simple.

Hari ni aku nak operate sebagai lebah atau lalat?

Dan bila aku pilih jadi lebah, aku bukan ignore masalah. Aku cuma pilih untuk cari sesuatu yang boleh dibina. Satu peluang kecil. Satu langkah yang boleh buat keadaan jadi lebih baik.

So soalan hari ini…

Sekarang dalam hidup atau bisnes, kau rasa kau tengah banyak operate dengan mata lebah… atau mata lalat?

How’s the first day treating you? 

Okay or not?

The traffic is still calm as it’s still school holidays kan. 

If you’re feeling a bit sleepy or keep glancing at the clock waiting for Maghrib… don’t worry, we are in the same boat. 😅

But honestly, this month is also a reminder for me, from a business perspective…

In business, we are always chasing speed. 

Chasing KPI. 
Chasing growth. 
Chasing the next big thing.

But Ramadan teaches us something else. 

It teachers us to slow down.
It teachers us to be present. 
It teaches us about "Kita"(Us).

For example networking this month isn't just swapping business cards in a stiff meeting room. 

Real connection happens when…

- We pass the dates to a stranger.

- We send that "Jom catch up for moreh?" text to an old friend.

- We ask our team members, "You okay?" instead of just asking for updates.

To all my doctor clients and friends facing patients today while fasting, I salute you. 

That too is real leadership.

So this month, l wanna focus less on "Saya" (Me) and more on "Kita". 

Less of "What can I get?" and more "What can we share?"

Salam Ramadhan to everyone observing.

If you lead people, you know this frustration.

You think the problem is “them”.

When we get frustrated, our "cup" is empty. 

We are trying to serve with stress instead of love. 

And when we complain "Susah la," we are literally programming our brain to fail.

Your mind is a faithful servant. 

You tell it, "This is hard." 

It says, "Okay boss, let's make it painful."

You are self-sabotaging your own leadership.

- Stop the "Susah" narrative immediately.

- Tell yourself, "It is easy, and it is necessary."

- Fill your cup first (Love, Energy, Happiness).

You can't lead the 'rakyat' if you are at war with your own mind.
