Provide direction and strategic guidance to a team of 19 Search Specialists, Analysts, Managers, and Technologists for the accounts that they manage, while building high level relationships with key decision makers within these accounts. Guide new company offerings, collaborate on corporate initiatives, and write for various industry publications. Identify and create case studies to be used internally and externally. Responsible for contract pricing, establishing relationships with 3rd party vendors including search engine representatives, and identifying and presenting up-sell opportunities within my client base.

Managed a team of 5 Search Marketing Specialists and Analysts who were responsible for natural search, paid inclusion, and pay-per-click campaigns. Helped to develop and oversee the execution of search strategies for clients to achieve desired client goals. Handled new employee training and ongoing development.

Determined business goals for the search campaign and provided customized strategy and project scope recommendations by analyzing prospect company’s website and identifying growth opportunities to achieve desired goals. Help client base of Fortune 1000 clients achieve marketing goals within the top tier search engines. Responsibilities include managing multiple clients and campaigns, project managing 3rd party vendors, setting proper expectations, and presenting results quarterly. Other responsibilities in the role include new employee training, process enhancement, writing for the monthly newsletter, and researching new engine offerings

Manage search engine optimization projects and ensured a detail-oriented approach in developing campaigns for Fortune 1000 clients. Proactively present strategic, customized recommendations to achieve client goals and foster strong relationships. 

Create and deliver presentations to clients on SEO education and training, strategy and data analysis, as well as account progress and project implementation. Communicate search industry data and how trends correlate with the client’s goals in traffic and visibility.

Collaborate actively with iProspect’s Algorithmic and Paid Search teams in order to guarantee the campaign goals are top of mind across all members working towards a multitude of projects. Promote teamwork by actively involving colleagues in relevant discussions pertaining to the client as well as to the industry.

In my career, I saw the same pattern over and over:

Startups (and even established companies) with bold visions— (and despite AI's overuse, I still love a good em dash!) but no clear message.

They had a logo, maybe a tagline. But when it came time to build campaigns, create websites, or pitch to customers, things broke down. They didn’t know what to say, what competitors were saying, how to say it, or even why it mattered.

And they were asking us, the agency, to launch campaigns without the foundation: no point of view, no brand narrative, no clarity on what makes them different. So we’d start building. But it always required backtracking, rewrites, and rounds of clarification. Which takes resources and time. 

That’s when it clicked for me:

Brand Isn’t Your Logo. It’s Your Reputation.
Ask most B2B founders, “What is brand?” and you’ll hear:
“Our messaging framework.” 
“Our positioning statement.” 
“Our visual identity system.”

All true. But incomplete.

Here’s a better lens: sports.
When analysts talk about teams, they never lead with uniforms or logos.

That’s brand.

The work isn’t inventing it. The work is naming what’s already true - then amplifying it until your market repeats it back to you.

The Test: What Does Your Market Consistently Experience?
Don’t start with taglines or color palettes.

Start here:
If a prospect watched six months of your company’s behavior, what pattern would they see?
Speed?
Strategic guidance?
Category expertise?
Operational rigor?
Straight talk?
That’s your identity.

Your brand is how you articulate and amplify it.
Identity → Narrative → Design
Not the other way around.

The market is drowning in sameness:
AI-generated copy
Interchangeable positioning
“We help companies transform” statements
The companies cutting through aren’t just better at marketing.
They have a clearer identity and they stay consistent to it.
Just like successful teams.

You don’t see championship teams reinventing their approach every quarter. They refine what they’re already good at.

B2B works the same way:
If you’re the category educator, own the narrative.
If you’re the execution machine, show proof relentlessly.
If you’re the strategic partner, teach the game.

Consistency creates recognition. Recognition creates trust. Trust creates revenue.

If Your Brand Feels Confusing, You Have an Identity Problem
If you can’t describe who you are in one sentence, your buyers won’t either.

The fix isn’t better creative.
It’s clarity about what you actually deliver, repeatedly.

Once you have that:
