Grew up in a small town and had to work extra hard to get my foot in the door working on cool tech startups. My first job at age 15 was fixing iPhone screens in the mall. Then I scooped ice cream at Cold Stone Creamery and bussed tables at a local airport restaurant to pay for college. 

After football practice in high school I'd be learning how to code on CodeAcademy. People thought I was a nerd. 

Fast forward 10 years -- I've built multiple apps, b2b SaaS, internet businesses, websites, and e-commerce businesses that have generated over $100m collectively. 

I got to work remotely, travel to 12+ countries, invest in real estate and stocks and built a fruitful living for myself. 

Learning how to build apps changed my life. Now I’m on a mission to teach 10,000 people how to build apps.

This role is not about “writing clever ChatGPT prompts.”

It’s about shipping production-grade AI systems that real sales teams rely on every day.

What you’ll own:
	• Fine-tuned prompt systems for each B2B customer
	• Few-shot + multi-step prompt architectures
	• Custom RAG pipelines tailored to sales workflows
	• Continuous model evaluation & iteration using Langfuse
	• Improving realism, objection handling, scoring accuracy, and coaching quality at scale

You should be obsessed with:
	• Prompt reliability under real user behavior
	• Edge cases, drift, hallucinations, and failure modes
	• Measuring prompt/model performance (not vibes)
	• Iterating fast, testing constantly, and shipping improvements daily

You’ll thrive here if you:
	• Think in systems, not single prompts
	• Have built with few-shot prompting, structured outputs, and custom RAG
	• Care deeply about realism and outcomes

In building DevHawk (https://www.devhawk.ai/), I’ve talked to a lot of PMs about what slows them down the most. Here’s what keeps coming up.

Delivery problems usually start before the first line of code is written.

Most of the time, it’s not speed.

It’s ambiguity in the task or ticket.

An ambiguous task isn’t a vague idea.

It’s a ticket that looks complete, but quietly leaves too much open to interpretation.

What’s usually missing:
 – A real definition of “done”
 – Clear acceptance criteria
 – Who makes the call when questions come up
 – Why the work matters in the first place

The ticket moves to “In Progress,” but alignment never actually happens.

No one’s fully clear on:
 – What success looks like
 – Which assumptions are safe
 – When to stop vs push forward

So engineers do what good engineers do.

They make reasonable assumptions and keep going.

This is where it breaks.

By then, the work exists.
It’s just wrong, incomplete, or misaligned. What looks like slow execution is usually rework hiding as progress.

None of this shows up as a blocker.
Nothing is “broken.”

So the cost compounds quietly until delivery slips and everyone’s confused about why.

This failure starts upstream.
Before the first commit.
Before anyone is blocked.
