Also, one day I received feedback from a cheeky person to say in my profile that I live part-time in the UK so that I am more genuine. So here it is! :)

~4 months to validate a client's low, mid, and high ticket business model. Their services range from ~$50 to ~$3k/month. Here is how to think about it: 

I like posting about earlier-stage clients because it is really just an insane vibe, helping these founders build a scalable business model. More personal. More fun. 

First: 

Decide what kind of business you want to create. If you are massively influenced, motivated, and empowered by large group coaching - do it. That isn't for everyone. 

This clients priorities were:
- A large predictable newsletter base (to build brand equity and value)
- A scalable low-ticket offer that helps weed out freebie buyers and also subsidizes paid ad spend
- A scalable mid-ticket offer that provides immense value and is easy to upgrade to from low-ticket 
- A high-ticket offer for the fun projects he enjoys, working with a few key clients per month 

Second: Who buys what?

Well. You needed to have decided your ICP and Positioning first to get all of these inputs to validate at least the direction. So here, we have directional validation. Then you refine. For example: Ensure you know what offer you are serving to who. 

If your offers are built for fundamentally different ICP's, you're doing it wrong. They should be split up by either A) maturity level or B) trust building. 

In this case, it's mostly for maturity. His ICP is either very early stage founders who do not have a high-ticket budget but desperate need (like high-ticket). On the other end there are established founders years in with teams scaling global brands who need their services (same problem as low ticket.) For those who do not fit high-ticket (90% of your market) you give them a low-risk way to see value (~$25-100) and then a no-brainer mid-ticket to help them take that project over the line ($500-1,000 for a 4-hour workshop, for example.) 

Third: Predicability 

The low and mid-ticket should be entirely supported by a mostly hands-off funnel powered by ads and a strong downstream motion with email marketing. In this case, we have a powerful 3.5% CTR/15% Purchase rate on the low-ticket page and a $2-5/subscriber newsletter campaign to fill the newsletter with future ICP buyers. 

This isn't the cheapest route to go because it involves paying, and for owners who have a very small audience, but it helps you crack your model in <6 months instead of what takes some people... years.

Founders who try to get out of their business too early, tend to fail. Founders who stay involved and lead (employees or even outsourced teams), win. 

It’s a trend I’ve seen in OutDo but also in general. Previously in software it was the same. 

You’d see founders check-out after Series A or B after hiring “key executives” but realized later on that at the end of the day it’s still their business - their mission. 

The founders who decided to manage themselves out or delegate too much and put all that responsibility on their teams or hired vendors simply lost touch and then blame their team. When in reality… that was your one main job as a founder. 

It’s a fine line, delegation vs managed out.

Would you pay ~$125/meeting to speak to your ideal client who's in the consideration or buying stage? It's possible. Here is a quick walkthrough: 

It is what the right targeting, value prop, and budget can produce for high-ticket sales. 

Don't get me wrong. Great content will forever and always be the long-term insurance for building a powerful coaching, advisory, consulting, or even software brand. (Software is doing this every day with founders and execs leaning more into content.)

This is a live campaign I wrote about a few months ago. When we started testing LinkedIn ads for coaching and consulting, founders were looking to have predictability in the pipeline for their high-ticket 1:1 and b2b deals.

We started testing, and the results have stayed fairly consistent with the key learnings being:
- Hook, Trust, and Value: If you have an undeniable hook, explain the value of your knowledge and build trust with messaging that proves your skillset - you will get opportunities. Often clients struggle with knowing their own value, sometimes we can help with that, but sometimes they're disconnected to the reality of the true impact of their offering, and that can make this part very hard and "noisy" - thus - low outcomes. 

- Audience: Start broad enough, we sometimes go >100k in an audience size to learn, especially in the early days, and eventually get this down below 50k. And well, at the end of the day, LinkedIn allows you to go 5x further down targeting than Meta. Company size, geography, role, etc. Unlike Meta. 

- Budget: It isn't for the shy. You need to be willing to spend $100+ per day to truly see valuable results and be ready to risk waiting for $2-3k in spend to start seeing a measurable outcome. 

If you have those, you will surely have a high chance of repeatable $100-200 meetings, and with a win rate of 33% and an ACV of $5k+, it makes it tempting not to try.

J’ai pris rendez-vous avec plusieurs coachs business/sales qui cartonnent sur les réseaux. Et j’ai vite compris le problème.

Aujourd’hui, tu trouves des créateurs business qui n’ont jamais bossé dans une boîte et qui donnent des conseils à des entrepreneurs.

Leur secret ? Une IA qui leur sort du contenu “propre” à la chaîne.

Mais quand tu creuses (j’ai pris le temps de le faire en bookant des calls) tu te rends vite compte : rien derrière.

Juste des phrases copiées d’un livre, d’un podcast ou d’une autre formation.

Le problème, ce n’est pas la qualité du contenu.

C’est que dans le business, 90% de la valeur vient de la contextualisation.

Et ça, tu ne peux pas l’inventer quand tu n'as jamais vécu le terrain.

Leur seule vraie expérience, c’est parfois de vendre leur propre formation.

Ça peut fonctionner dans certains cas. Mais c’est loin d’être généralisable.

Conclusion : je suis convaincu que le nombre de créateurs va baisser (ou leurs revenus vont vraiment baisser car leur incompétence sera trop connue).
Et la valeur des vrais, ceux validés par la pratique et l'expérience, va exploser.

J’ai vécu aux USA en 2013, et un Français installé là-bas depuis 30 ans m’a partagé une différence majeure entre la mentalité américaine et la mentalité française.

Pendant la crise des subprimes de 2008, plusieurs maisons étaient abandonnées dans certains quartiers résidentiels. Personne n’y vivait. Les mauvaises herbes envahissaient les jardins. Les façades commençaient à se dégrader.

Résultat :
1) le quartier devenait moins agréable
2) et sa valeur baissait encore plus

Les habitants ont alors commencé à s’occuper eux-mêmes des maisons abandonnées. Simplement pour vivre dans un environnement correct et éviter que leur propre quartier perde encore de la valeur.

Il me disait : en France, dans la même situation, beaucoup attendraient que l’État ou la collectivité règle le problème.

Et en attendant, ils passeraient leur temps à blâmer les autres alors que le résultat, lui, ne change pas.

Oui, on paye beaucoup d’impôts.
Oui, certaines personnes abusent du système.
Oui, le système a des failles.

Mais pendant qu’on constate tout ça…rien ne change.
Et c’est nous qui en subissons les conséquences, chacun à notre niveau.

Parce qu’on se concentre trop souvent sur "ce qui devrait être fait" au lieu de "ce qui dépend réellement de nous".

Avec le climat actuel, je pense que c’est devenu critique : arrêter de ruminer sur des situations globales sur lesquelles on n’a aucune influence. 
Et commencer à agir à notre niveau. 

Arrêter les chaînes d’info en continu et arrêter d'écouter plus qu'il ne le faut les politiques qui vendent (eux aussi, comme nous) leur produit. 

Se demander ce qu’on peut améliorer autour de nous, à notre "petit" niveau aujourd’hui. Parce que se plaindre ne changera rien, si ce n'est nous mettre, nous, dans une situation encore plus inconfortable.

Pour les entreprises (mais c'est valable aussi sur les autres sujets comme les sujets sociétaux):
- Trouver un prospect de plus aujourd’hui pour compenser la crise du moment (au lieu de s'en plaindre).
- Aller pénétrer un nouveau marché.
- Faire une action en plus de ce qui était prévu au contrat pour un client.
- Prendre le temps aujourd'hui de parler à un collaborateur/collègue qui semble être en difficulté et l'aider.
- Parler à deux personnes qui pourront nous rejoindre bientôt.
etc.
 
Parce qu’il y aura toujours quelqu'un pour nous dire quelle est la crise du moment. Que les gens n'ont plus d'argent, qu'en France c'est terminé, que les nouvelles générations ne veulent plus travailler ou que l'IA va tous nous remplacer...

C'est peut-être vrai, et peut-être pas. Sûrement plus nuancé. On a toujours raison quand on prédit le malheur. Parce que même s'il n'arrive pas, on dira que c'est grâce au fait qu'on ait prévenu.  

En tout cas, ruminer sur ces sujets ne changera rien pour nous.

Il est urgent d'agir sur ce qu’on contrôle. Ignorer au maximum ce qu’on ne contrôle pas. Et accepter que la situation ne s’améliorera que si nous commençons par notre propre mètre carré.

Avant de lancer une POC, pose-toi une seule question...

3x sur les réponses aux relances prospects et clients => méthode que j'ai prouvée avec un client.

On a testé : écrire 10 relances sans parler une seule fois de lui (mon client).

Pas de “je voulais faire un suivi”.

Pas de “je serais ravi d’échanger”.

Juste :
1. Ce qu’ils peuvent débloquer
2. Pourquoi ça les concerne
3. Une question précise

Résultat?

3x de réponses.

Et surtout, des réponses de qualité.

Teste ça sur les 3 prochaines semaines, mesure les inputs et outputs et envoies moi les résultats :)

Arrête d'essayer de vendre gros au début!

Commence par vendre petit. Et rapide.

Les startups early veulent closer des projets à 5 chiffres.

Mais personne ne veut être ton cobaye à 15k€.

Tu veux closer plus ?
Fais-le en plusieurs étapes.
Par exemple, propose un sprint, un audit, un test.
Un format simple.
Un prix no-brainer.
Un “oui” facile.

Et là, tu montres que tu peux délivrer.

Tu veux closer plus gros ? Commence plus petit.

Quand tu es dans un process de sales, ça doit souvent t’arriver qu’un client arrête de te répondre. Dans 80% des cas, c’est qu’il n’a aucune urgence à te répondre...

Vos prospects n'ont pas peur d'acheter! Ils ont peur d'échouer après avoir acheté.

La plupart des fondateurs s’épuisent.

Non pas à cause du volume de travail.

 Mais parce qu’ils passent leur temps sur les mauvais deals.
