In 2017, I was an investment advisor in a private bank. Although I was comfortable and safe in this job, I wanted more adventure in my career.

I knew that I had a unique set of skills and talents. As an accountant by training, I was comfortable working with numbers and crunching data. But I always enjoyed writing and communicating stories to the world. 

That year, I decided to leave banking and become an entrepreneur. Along the way, I dabbled in a bunch of businesses and learned by trial and error how to harness Facebook & Google to drive leads and sales to these businesses. When my campaigns didn’t work, I’d keep testing until it did. 

After spending hundreds of hours learning copywriting and marketing strategy, I accumulated valuable skills and experience in performance marketing. I realised I could help my clients scale their businesses by implementing these strategies.

In 2022, I decided to take the plunge and pursue my passion for growing businesses by founding Omni Digital, a performance marketing agency that helps clients scale through digital marketing.

Now, I work with e-commerce, home & renovation, and education businesses in Singapore to accelerate their growth using paid Facebook & Google ads.

My goal is to build a world-class team of performance marketers that has the same work ethic as me, which is to continuously test and optimize our client campaigns until they succeed.

12 months ago, churn was exploding at Crisp, AI features we offered were not amazing, and new comers kept popping all around.

But most of all, the AI-narrative was all around.

And we were not part of this story.

Not because we wouldn't, but because we were limited.

We needed to do something if we wanted to make Crisp strive for the next 10 years.

12 Months ago we decided to trash aways thousands of lines of codes and rebuilt of one of core proposition value to fit in the world we live in.

And today, It's time to welcome Hugo AI Agent

Yesterday, we went all in at the AI Day at STATION F. For the first time, we created a physical-oriented activation strategy as part of Hugo AI Agent release. Here is what we did ⬇️ 

Thanks to France Digitale we launched Hugo AI Agent in Paris and show how AI is transforming customer support.

To do so, we leveraged two main events.

First one, dedicated to No-Code France: the most important no-code community in France.

It was the opportunity for us to demonstrate the strength of Hugo AI Agent combined with no-code platforms such as Make or n8n to automate tasks end-to-end.

This is how you unlock the true power of an AI Agent.

Not only does it answer. It also automate tasks.

And you can do it without a single line of code!

The next day, we went to STATION F for a big event organized by France Digitale.

During the day Baptiste Jamin spoke the truth about how we built Hugo AI Agent to be efficient, scalable, trustworthy and reliable.

Unfortunately couldn't watch any other conferences but Thomas Detambel did quite a good sum-up, check it out!

Most importantly, it was a great time to gather with partners and customers who were coming from all around France.

We released Hugo AI Agent yesterday. And it went live everywhere. A few statistics below from launch day:

- 1450 customers gathered during Hugo AI Agent Webinar
- 600 automated conversations by Hugo AI Agent on Crisp Workspace
- 439 upvotes on Product Hunt (finishing 2nd product of the day 🥲 )
- 3000 visits on Hugo.ai website
- Dozens of positive feedbacks and comments from customers and people from the tech commmunity.

What's next?

We're going full wings on the transition from our old bot builder to the new Hugo AI Agent. A lot of work here to make sure the transition runs smooth.

We're going to publish amazing content over the next days to explain the why and how behind Hugo AI Agent.

Back in last dedember, we started beta testing Hugo AI Agent. Handling a beta is very hard. Here is how we did it at Crisp IM 👇 

Only those who have done it know it.

When you go in front of customers, you have a product that is not finished but good enough to be shown.

It breaks (hence why the beta) and you gotta be ok with this.

Baptiste Jamin told us « ok I need a very limited number of people we can trust to get early feedback » 

This is when I started reaching out to customers.

I didn’t even know myself how I should set it up.

But I figured it out while introducing the product to early beta users.

More than usage data, we managed to discover so many things that now fuel what Hugo AI Agent looks like:

- labels
- product experience
- designs
- onboarding
- pricing 

But what amazed me the most right now is how fast we have been able to cope with the feedback we gathered. 

On a daily basis, I was receiving messages on WhatsApp (because in my beta onboarding process I systematically shared my phone number to get closer with our beta user).

Sharing it with the team, either product feedback, bugs or UX feedback that fuels product design.

Everything was good to help us feed our vision and strategy.

Even the product marketing got helped a lot thanks to these feedback.

It’s been two days since we announced it publicly but it feels like forever.

Yesterday evening we celebrated our release with friends and partners. It felt so good.

Une grande première plus que réussie pour nous chez Crisp IM à STATION F dans le cadre des AI DAY organisé par France Digitale 

Nous avons pu lancer Hugo AI Agent devant le monde entier, avec une intervention de haut vol de Baptiste expliquée ci-dessous. 

Beaucoup de beaux échanges et notamment avec Gabriel Attal et Paul Midy au sujet des innovations sous jacentes à notre nouveau produit.

Hier, j'ai animé une masterclass aux AI Days sur la manière de construire des agents IA qui répondent rapidement et n'hallucinent pas.

La salle était complètement pleine à tel point que certaines personnes n'ont même pas pu entrer 😁

La session s'est concentrée sur ce qui casse réellement lorsque des agents d'IA arrivent en production sans préparation adéquate.

L'agentic AI n'est pas un outil unique qui fait tout.

C'est une chaîne d'outils spécialisés qui collaborent vers un objectif commun.

Quand l'un hallucine, toute la chaîne suit.

Les LLM actuels sont très puissants, mais probabilistes: Environ 80 à 85 % fiables.

Sur un cas de support client, cet écart compte beaucoup, et pour Hugo et Crisp, nous avons du entraîner pas moins de 7 modèles différents pour contourner ces limitations.

Merci à toutes celles et ceux qui sont venus, qui nous ont challengés et qui ont rempli la salle bien au-delà de sa capacité.
