I love turning ideas into companies - and I’m lucky to be surrounded by people who share the same passion. 

Right now, I’m fully focused on Heizma. What started as an idea in December 2023 turned into a company by March 2024. By the end of that year, we had reached €10M in sales and installed over 500 heat pumps. Bootstrapped.

Today, Heizma is Austria’s leading full-service electrification provider, offering heat pumps, solar, batteries, EV chargers, air conditioning, energy management, and an energy community to help our customers access the cleanest and most affordable energy possible.


I’ve been chasing ideas and turning them into businesses for as long as I can remember - from flipping goods at flea markets at age 7 to large-scale game key reselling at 15 (XX.XXX€ monthly revenue), which eventually led me to Bitcoin.

What followed were multiple business ideas during my university years, until my early touchpoints with Bitcoin led me to build Coinpanion. The idea? So simple it actually worked: Crypto for people who don’t want to follow charts - just set it, forget it, and let it ride. (hello #ETFs for crypto)

So I did what every 21-year-old entrepreneurial student does: I stopped studying (eventually finished later) and dove headfirst into the rollercoaster. We built a team of up to 40, expanded into 3 countries (Austria, Germany, and Poland), reached 25,000 customers, and raised €6M in funding.

In 2023, we were fortunate to successfully exit the company to Revix, which - together with a consortium of crypto platforms - became Altify, now serving a large number of customers across Africa and Europe.

With no break at all, things unfolded as they did, and I found myself in the next adventure: Heizma - and honestly, I love it every day. 

Occasionally, I also invest in other startups via morgen ventures, but the truth is:
I’m a founder first, investor second - and right now, it’s heads-down building time.

After gaining experience in early-stage investing, I joined the Austrian Angel Investors Association as Managing Director. 

We supported our 250 angel members with education, matching them with startups and most importantly connecting them with other investors.

One year ago, my entrepreneurial spirit caught up with me when I co-founded my first fund.

I just reached 25,000 followers! 😍

In April 2023 my sister Eva said to me: “You need to take LinkedIn serious.”

I was not convinced. I started with 1 post per week. In German.

Every post took hours. Overthink every sentence.

I felt stupid and a bit exposed. But I kept my small promise to myself.

Since 2024 I made 3 changes that changed everything for me:

1️⃣ I switched to English
I invest in European founders and I speak English with almost all of you.
When I changed language, my audience changed. The right people started to show up.

2️⃣ I focused on founder content
Fundraising, angel rounds, cap table & the messy middle of building a startup.
I started to share real stories & my opinions, even the unpopular ones.

3️⃣ I created a simple system
👉 Post 2x a week between 8–10am.
👉 I use Scripe, and each post takes me 10–30 minutes.
👉 Use professional photos.
👉 Respond to every honest comment.
👉 I repurpose well-performing posts.

Some posts still fail.
Some posts still surprise me.
But I show up anyway.

If founders say “I have more equity because it was my idea”, I lose trust fast.
This is not how you build a startup. 😳

When I speak with founders, I always ask about the equity split.
Very basic question for me.
Very deep insight into the team.

I hear one line again and again:
“I started the company, I had the idea, so I have more.”

Here is the problem:

👉 Idea alone has no value without execution
👉 After 5+ years, those first 3–6 months do not matter
👉 Unequal split based on “idea” creates long-term pain

I see this setup very often:

One founder starts alone.
Six months later, a strong co-founder joins.
They build product, talk to users, ship fast, raise money.
They carry the same weight.
But the cap table still says “founder 1 is the hero”.

For me, the status of the company is the same when founder 2 joins.
Risk is similar.
Future work is similar.
Impact can be the same or higher.

When I see a 70/30 or 80/20 split with two full-time founders, only because of “my idea”, I get careful.
I see ego, not team.
I see short-term thinking in a long-term game.

I like it when founders say:
“We split 50/50. We both build this.”
That feels like partnership.
That feels investable. 🚀

Our portfolio company GATE Space is launching Austria's first military satellite. 🛰️

The mission name: BEACONSAT
Launch: SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket in February 2027

It is Austria’s first military satellite and a key step for European security. It will
will detect and analyze interference in global satellite navigation systems (GNSS).

Goal of the mission:
👉 Detect jamming and spoofing in GNSS signals
👉 Make invisible attacks on navigation visible
👉 Protect cars, planes, ships and drones that depend on GNSS

When GNSS fails, autonomous systems lose orientation.
Transport slows down, safety systems fail, critical infrastructure becomes weak.

BEACONSAT sits in orbit and listens.
It records where and when GNSS signals are disturbed.
From space, patterns of “navigation warfare” become clear.

It's a important step toward European resilience and military capability❗️

GATE Space leads an international consortium as prime contractor.
They deliver the propulsion system, the satellite structure and thermal systems.
Partners include IGASPIN GmbH in Graz for the payload and Space Inventor in Denmark for key onboard tech.

The Austrian Federal Ministry of Defense supports the mission and will integrate BEACONSAT’s data into its processes. Its also co-funded through the European Space Agency - ESA.

Netherlands is planning a 36% tax on unrealized gains.🤯 How long until this terrible idea reaches the rest of Europe?

We talk about “Box 3” in Dutch tax law. Sounds technical.
In reality, it hits anyone who holds stocks, ETFs, crypto or other investments.

Under the new plan, the state taxes your annual return. Also paper gains❗
(Typically profits get only taxed when you actually sell the asset)

Example in simple numbers:

👉 You invest €10k in stocks
👉 Year-end value: €20k
👉 Gain: €10k
👉 Tax: 36% = €3,600 (before exemptions)

👉 Now markets fall. Your portfolio goes back to €10k.
👉 The tax bill from last year stays. To pay it, you need to sell assets.
👉 So you have only €6,400 left in your portfolio.
👉 Even if the market goes up again 100% its still only €12,800.

Once tax is paid, capital is gone!
Less capital → less compounding → lower long-term wealth → smaller future tax base when selling the asset

For many people, investing in volatile assets like stocks and ETFs is the only way to build wealth. This law makes investing in these assets far less attractive.

This can trigger a downward spiral. Wealthy individuals may consider leaving, while the middle class loses one of its few real tools to build long-term wealth through compounding. In the end, capital leaves, upward mobility weakens, and the tax base becomes more fragile instead of stronger.

In addition, the dangerous signal is:
Taxing unrealized gains moves from “crazy idea” to real policy test in an EU country. 😳

When one member state tries it, the idea enters every European debate. Instead of strengthening our capital markets and encouraging people to invest more, should we really be discussing concepts like this?!

You need an ambitious financial plan to get a YES from investors❗️

Here are 5 points to consider and our financial model template. 👇

Looking at a start-up's financials is part of the investment decision process. 

It's not about the numbers themselves. It's about the conclusions, which provide a lot of insight into a founder's thinking about the business and growth.

And this is a realistic reason for an investor to say no if the numbers are not ambitious enough or do not make sense!

Here is what I look for in pre-seed B2B Saas startups:

👉 Revenue growth:
- Year 1: Minimal to moderate revenue. Focus on product development and market validation. Growth: 0% to 100%
- Year 2: Early growth. Optimise product-market fit. Growth: 100% to 300%
- Year 3: High growth. Scale the business. Growth: 200% to 500

👉 Total burn:
- Keep burn low before finding product-market fit
- Match burn to your runway

👉 Next funding rounds:
- Match fundraising volume to revenue, burn and growth ambitions
- Plan for 12-18 month runway

👉 Headcount & salaries:
- Build your team strategically and think about hiring and onboarding times
- Calculate realistic salaries for all levels & positions
- Ensure founder salaries cover living costs but are not the highest in the team

👉 Business model:
- Make sure the revenue trajectory matches your business model
- Think about sales circles, contract values and churn rates

Stay away from pessimistic cases and stick to optimistic scenarios!
