Working in the Logistics Team, managing Inbound shipments of fine wine to our UK sites from various locations and suppliers. Managing relationships with warehouse teams and a broad range of carriers, to ensure that our client's assets are secured in storage and transit. Handling administrative processes in relation to purchase order raising, pre-advices, and ensuring all customs related systems are in order. Working with the Operations team to help drive the business forward by initiating measures that allow for continuous improvement, increasing productivity and reduce waste in daily tasks.

As Wine Ambassador I research, prepare, and present personalised Pairing Events, Wine tastings, and larger wine Pairing events, such as the “Taste of Yorkshire” and “More than a Marlborough” events. I source speciality wines for our “Guest Wine” selection, and train new team members on wine, food, and the floor. I arrange tastings with our suppliers, and make recommendations to the Senior Management. I also am the host of our monthly Wine Club events that are dedicated to exploring various themes or styles of wine in an informal, fun, and educative environment. I pride myself on maintaining excellent customer service and supplier communications, and am often commended in 5 star TripAdvisor Reviews, and recently on Twitter and Instagram.

As a waiter, I worked full time at both Bettys’ branches in York, and ensured that my customers had an excellent experience. I also gained knowledge about teas and coffees, and dedicated my spare time to my degree, and organising and hosting charity events held at the branches.
