• Led a team of developers in writing specifications and content for a large-scale English language proficiency test which was accepted by more than 300 US colleges for university admission
• Managed and participated in the development of a series of standardized achievement tests used by over 60 university-based EAP programs in North America; responsibilities included training item writers, reviewing items, coordinating field tests, creating 13 equated operational forms for nine levels of ability, and developing ancillary materials

In 2022, I founded Rubrica, a language testing company focused exclusively on the customer service industry. How did I get here?

I started out as an ESL teacher, teaching kids and adults in the US, Australia, Guatemala, Ecuador, and Korea.

This experience has given me a view of the stakeholders at every level, from the examinees interacting with the words onscreen to the decision-makers evaluating which test will meet their needs. 

Language testing is my passion, and when used effectively and responsibly, its impact can be felt far beyond the reach of the test itself. I have seen this to be especially true in the customer service industry, which is why we, at Rubrica, have made this our focus.
