Saying "No" can get your farther in your career than saying "Yes".

Say No to:
- Jobs that don't pay you what you're worth
- Bad bosses
- Staying late because everyone else does
- Work that doesn’t use your strengths
- Every request that comes your way

Saying Yes to these things can set you back years in your career. Know yourself, your strengths, what you want and say Yes to those things and no to everything else.

The amazing thing about life is you can completely re-invent yourself whenever you want!

Most people do it during big events in their life - Moving across the country, new job, going to college, etc - times where you are starting over or starting fresh.

Honestly, you could just do it now.

You could wake up tomorrow and decide to change tons of things. Start working out, start taking classes, start wearing different clothes. Anything you want!

I completely changed myself after college. I was about to move across the country to do an Internship in Dallas and I shaved my head.

Just to try something new! And I wouldn't ever go back to who I was or how I was living before. 

Take a chance and trying something new. Become the person you want to be.

I've been using Claude Cowork for the past few days with my real work and here's my honest review:

1. It's fast and thoughtful
- Processes in-depth drafts what would take me hours
- It breaks complex problems into steps and assess each step
- Can create entire documents with good output

2. Context is difficult for longer durations
- As I used it more it lost the context fairly quickly over time which I needed to continue to prompt
- Not huge issue, but the longer the task it would often drift and do 90% what I initially wanted

3. It can give A LOT of output at one time!
- This is good and bad. Lots of work done at one time, but also a lot to review!
- And reviewing was very important for large documents it produced (got it right 90% of the time, some less if it didn't understand what I really wanted)
- Downside was if it wasn't good, took a long time to run and redo

4. It deleted some of my files
- I gave it access to some Folders I set up just for testing with some real files
- It deleted my files and told me it didn't and was still there (not cool - luckily I had backups)

5. Connectors, Plugins, Skills are all great!
- But they don't always work. In fact 25% of the time they just failed and Clause Cowork would have to find a workaround
- It's a great ecosystem, but the ecosystem is not super reliable

6. It's good, but a lot of the online attention is Hype
- Listen, it is good - absolutely, but it's not fire the entire Marketing, Coding, and HR teams good
- Hype gets people trying it (like me) and I see many use cases for it in my personal uses, but it doesn't match all the hype see

I like trying new things and staying up to date in AI and I think I'll continue to use Claude Cowork for a few use cases - definitely worth trying out!

In this weeks Databricks lesson we are using IDP (Intelligent Document Processing) to extract data from our Unstructured Documents using ai_extract.

Unstructured files are notoriously difficult to work with, but IDP makes it pretty streamlined all within Databricks!

With ai_classify you can classify your files and label them before you actually start extracting your data.

Imagine you have a ton of files in a folder and you want to extract the data, but they're all mixed in with tons of other files - this is how you can easily classify and separate them

I haven't taken any PTO in 3 years!!

Well - I do take time off, I just don't get paid for it. One of the few downsides of working for yourself.

But it beats having to request time off, they say too many people are taking those days off and we need people in the office. Then you have to tell your family it was denied so you have to reschedule those plans.

When you bootstrap a company and it starts to pick up some steam every VC and Angel investor will come out of the woodwork to offer you "free" money.

I started Analyst Builder 3 years ago and I've gotten hundreds of small and large companies and investors wanting to give me money to "Scale, Tap into a larger Market, Advertise" and everything else.

All I'd have to do is give up control of some of my company.

And looking back, maybe I would have grown faster, scaled bigger, etc, but I knew that came with strings attached. I'd have someone to report to, someone looking for an ROI on their investment in a year or so.

I also knew they'd want me to raise my prices, push out content faster and faster, and make more money at all costs.

Once you give up a part of your company you aren't in control anymore. You are beholden to investors and it stops becoming about the company and more about ROI.

AI still defaults to bias.

And this is a perfect example of how subtly it shows up.

I asked ChatGPT to make an image of me based on the following prompt: 

"Create a caricature of me & my job based on everything you know about me"

It knows I'm:
↳ an entrepreneur
↳  an ex-data analyst
↳ a techie & AI lover

So what image did it generate? A typical tech bro. 

Maybe this shouldn't be so shocking, and I shouldn't take it personally, but ChatGPT has 3 years of data and context on me, so I would think that it would know I'm a woman by now. 

In fact, I've uploaded plenty of images before and even asked many women-related questions, but it still chose to forget all of that and go with the "default tech bro" image. 

This is a good reminder that bias in AI doesn’t always look malicious. 

Sometimes it appears to be a “reasonable default.”

And that’s EXACTLY the problem.

If we don’t override and correct the defaults, we reinforce the same power structures over and over. 

AI won’t eliminate bias.

It will amplify whatever we fail to correct.

37% of companies plan to replace entry level roles w/ AI.

But IBM is doing the opposite. 

They're tripling their entry-level roles due to limits of AI adoption.

They're thinking about the longterm strategy instead of the quick financial savings.

Mid-level and senior-level talent doesn't just magically appear later on if you haven't had entry-level roles learning and growing within your company. 

Not only that, but they're rewriting their roles to account for AI adoption and use so people focus more time on the things that are harder to replace with AI.

Turns out implementing AI enterprise-wide is harder than we thought.

DON’T USE THESE 8 BAD Data Analysis Prompts!!!

The more vague your input is, the more generic your output will be. 

The more specific your input is, the more clear and personalized your output will be. 

These 8 prompts are lazy:

↳ Analyze this dataset and tell me insights.
↳ Find trends in this data.
↳ Clean this dataset.
↳ Deal with or remove outliers.
↳ Write SQL / Python for this.
↳ Write Python code to clean this.
↳ Make a chart.
↳ Summarize the findings.
↳ What am I missing?

What’s so bad about these prompts? The biggest reason is that they’re super vague and lack context and specificity. But they also lack clear expectations on what exactly you want!

Try the alternatives for better results.

Good vs. Bad data analysis prompts

Claude really gave OpenAI a BIG smackdown in their Super Bowl 2026 ad.

Claude’s big announcement at the end 🤯🚨 

If generative AI is going to be integrated into our most personal spaces, like therapy, it can’t be a billboard selling things.

That ad placement scenario is the clearest signal yet that ethics and safety can’t be an afterthought especially when AI is so influential and validating. OpenAI rolling out ads is a slippery slope.

Also ethics aside, ads in a paid product are annoying anyways 🤣
