Alphageek

Specialising in organic social media, I am responsible for amplifying our clients brands to elevate their social media and enable to them access wider audiences. This involves working with the brand amplification team to execute marketing strategies and staying up-to-date with the latest social media trends to engage and captivate audiences. 

My primary responsibilities include idea generation and planning social content for clients, copywriting, scheduling, reporting, and attending meetings with clients. This includes working with a variety of internal departments to facilitate the creation of content, and providing clients with regular updates on planned content and social media performance.

Organic Social Media Executive

Digital marketing with a focus on lead generation. In support of the company's overall lead generation targets, I utilised Facebook Ad Centre to increase leads for apprenticeships and Digital Skills Bootcamps, contributing to 58% of the total leads acquired. Additional duties consisted of creating eye-catching graphics for social media via Canva and utilising effective copywriting in line with the company's brand tone. This was primarily done through LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter/X, and I also have experience recording and editing TikTok's for the company.  

I was primarily responsible for monitoring and tracking data in relation to social media metrics (followers, engagement, clicks), and website traffic via Google Analytics, as well as reporting on weekly KPIs and content output. 

Additionally, I facilitated case studies with learners and employers and more recently I have utilised WordPress to update the About page of the website, as well as Customer Relationship Management system Microsoft Dynamics 365 to track the success of my Facebook PPC campaigns.

Customer Acquisition Executive

Throughout my apprenticeship with althaus digital I was responsible for social media marketing, content creation, Facebook PPC campaigns, and online customer service. In support of these aims, I introduced Buffer and Canva to the business to allow me to create eye-catching visual content and schedule posts ahead of time, allowing me to greatly increase marketing output from 3-4 posts per month to 10-12.  

A key achievement during my time as an apprentice was gaining my Google Analytics IQ Qualification, which I utilised to support me with monitoring and tracking the company website. Within my first few months as an apprentice, I also ran two sector-specific e-shots to Digital/IT/Cyber Line Managers across 4 weeks which resulted in 5 new apprentices for the business.

Additionally, I was given the opportunity to attend additional leadership training as part of althaus digital’s 'Learn Digital. Lead Digital.' programme which allowed me to develop my soft skills in problem solving, communication, collaboration, and resilience. 

Alongside my activities as a digital marketer I supported the Talent Attraction team with calling and onboarding of candidates onto Digital Skills Bootcamps, attended jobs and careers fairs to generate leads, and utilised Adobe Photoshop to create internal training material.

Digital Marketing Apprentice 

12 week Digital Skills Bootcamp in Digital Marketing, in association with the D2N2 LEP as part of the government's wider Skills for Life campaign. 

During my time on the course I was exposed to the fundamentals of social media marketing, business marketing principles, search engine optimisation, brand reputation online, email marketing, Google Analytics and more. 

A key achievement during the course was being able to utilise what I had learned to perform a digital marketing analysis on a business of my choice, performing a SWOT analysis of the business based on their social media accounts and websites, and then presenting this back to the class, for which I received high praise on my analysis and content examples I provided. 

This diligence and commitment to my project work alongside my quick ability to learn new concepts allowed me to impress althaus digital enough to offer me a 3-week work placement with the company, following which I was successfully taken on as a Digital Marketing Apprentice.

Digital Marketing Bootcamp

Mad Hatter

Primary duties consisted of making and serving drinks, making the shop’s specialty milkshakes, taking orders and taking payments. 

I was also given extra responsibilities such as opening up the shop and training new members of staff. Due to this I was able to work in a fast-paced environment, where efficiency was essential for effective time management, performing multiple tasks and making sure the shop ran smoothly. Additional duties included pot-washing, putting stock away, and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in keeping with safety regulations.

I also worked with the company throughout the various Covid-19 lockdowns, dealing with the unpredictability of working in a customer service role at this time, and demonstrating my high attention to detail and commitment to providing a safe working environment by adhering to Covid-19 regulations and ensuring all hygiene regulations were followed effectively.

Chatsworth House and Gardens

One weeks work experience at Chatsworth Gardens. Main responsibilites included maintaining a high level of excellence in and around the garden to keep it looking pristine for customers attending the gardens. I primarily had the opportunity to work within the Borders team and the Kitchen Garden team, performing a variety of duties including weeding and sowing plants.

Matlock Library

Shelving books, searching for reserved books, returning and transferring them and serving customers at the counter. I was also offered the opportunity to help with posters and displays and help to prepare books for the Home Library service.

Librarian

I am a digital marketer with 2+ years experience in the digital/tech industry, creating compelling visual content, posting and scheduling organic social media marketing, attracting new audiences via paid advertising channels such as Facebook PPC, and connecting with audiences through email marketing. 

My journey started when I embarked upon a 12-week Digital Marketing Bootcamp with althaus digital. This kickstarted my career in the industry, leading to a Level 3 digital marketing apprenticeship with althaus which I passed in December 2022. This has been a key accomplishment in my digital marketing journey, allowing me to progress into a full-time role as Customer Acquisition Executive with the company. 

I particularly excel at copywriting and have a strong sense of brand voice, allowing me to draft compelling messages for business. I also have experience with key digital marketing tools such as Canva for content creation, Buffer for scheduling, Adobe Photoshop and Premier Pro, and Google Analytics. I have also utilised Facebook Ad Centre to achieve consistently acquire new leads for the company. 

I am currently looking for a role in which I can continue to flex and develop these skills and join a company with great camaraderie and culture. I have a strong willingness to learn and a keen desire to continue to improve my marketing skills and would love to branch out in a role that stretches and challenges my talents.
