Improved CDL driver hiring processes, reducing time to fill by more than 50% to less than 5 weeks for all reqs.  Build Talent Acquisition team and Employee Experience team as the company doubled in size to 400 people.
Note:  Started as Senior Director and promoted to VP in April 2022.  Also started with Talent Acquisition, expanded to Employee Experience, then to Core HR.

Site Leader/General Manager the Dallas Pantry Fulfillment Site with additional mulit-site responsibilities for the Cincinnati Pantry Fulfillment Site (Interim Multi-Site Leader).  Responsible for > 40% of the country’s Pantry Fulfillment, with teams of >200 employees across both sites.

Responsible for all aspects of the site, including 
* P&L responsibility

* People/HR

Key accomplishments include:

* Improved productivity performance for the building by 12.1% in 3 months and moved the building to be the top ranked building for Peak 2018.   

* Was asked to take on Multi-Site Leader role in late 2018 to help the Cincinnati site during the search for a full time Site Leader.  Served as Multi-Site Leader for three months and continued to serve as mentor for new Cincinnati Site Leader.


About the Company:
Amazon Pantry is a grocery delivery service for non-perishable food and household items.  There were five fulfillment centers that supported the entire country.

Site Leader

Operations:

Managed daily operations for an Amazon Fulfillment Center / Warehouse.  Focus was on Robotics Floor operations including Stow, Pick, and Count.  Led a team of more than 18 managers and > 1,100 people across multiple shifts.

Productivity Improvement & Machine Utilization:

Improved productivity performance for the building by 23.1% year over year and broke building Inbound and Outbound single day records during Peak 2017.  Drove DFW7 to achieve the highest machine utilization in the network for Peak 2017. 

Culture:

Built a positive culture in the department, with managers scoring the best in the building for employee survey results (Connections Questions).

About the Company:

Amazon’s DFW7 building was one of the first Amazon Robotics Sortable buildings in the network, spanned >1 million sq ft, and provided fulfillment support for the e-commerce company in the Dallas/Fort Worth region.

Senior Operations Manager - RSP (Robotics Service Platform) and Outbound Processes

Manage >450 people across 24/7 Inbound Operations.  Improved productivity from worst performing site (80% productivity) to best performing site (>105% productivity) and was named Inbound Benchmark Site for our site type in Amazon North America.  Delivered two Peak Seasons with benchmark results in all key metrics:  Improved PIT safety by >50% YOY, Improved Quality Defect Injection by 46% YOY;  Improved Cost by >30% YOY.  Developed leaders;  site promoted more people to increased leadership positions for the network than other node sites.  Also responsible for Vendor Returns, Transfer Out, Quality (ICQA), Change/Continuous Improvement, and Learning Departments.

Senior Operations Manager - Inbound

Zodiac Aerospace

Managed >300 people across 4 site locations (focus on warehousing, receiving docks, procurement, and logistics).  Achieved 99.5% inventory accuracy, 98% supplier on time delivery, and 30% labor efficiency improvements.

Senior Director Supply Chain

- Managed the Lean deployment for Zodiac Seats North America (multiple sites).  
- Won the company-wide Lean award for Most Improved Site for Texas location.

Lean Director

Managed key warehouses and production control/logistics functions.  Reduced line stops by 20% and saved $3M per year in part replacement costs.

Senior Manager Supply Chain

Managed a group of Six Sigma Black Belts.  Improved overall site production by 25%.  Achieved 100% on time delivery for multiple months.

CAD Cut Inc.

Managed the Texas facility through its initial growth period.  Led facility through external ISO certification process (passed with no findings) and built the team to deliver on time product at a profitable rate (100% on time delivery;  40% improvement in labor efficiency)

Managed 13 high speed assembly lines.  Improved Process Reliability from 82% to 87% (compared to industry standard of 85%).  Led SMED rapid changeover teams and reduced changeover downtime from 6 hours to 10 minutes through equipment upgrades and process changes.

Career Bio:  I am a Mechanical Engineer and an MBA graduate.  I started my career at Procter & Gamble as a technical engineer, then made my first of many career shifts into manufacturing operations leadership.  I moved back to Texas to be closer to family after my first son was born, and at that point, chose to deepen my expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, and process improvement.  I was then tapped on the shoulder to run the supply chain, procurement, and warehousing facilities for the aerospace company I was working for, and quickly fell in love with supply chain.  To continue learning more about warehousing and fulfillment, I transitioned to Amazon where I ran several different fulfillment centers.  I had always wanted to work in the start up world, so when I was asked by a former colleague to join an up and coming startup, I jumped at the chance.  At the start up, I showed up on day one to an office that didn’t even have a desk built for me, and helped them build a thriving operations organization from the ground up.  When they needed help in Talent Acquisition and Recruiting, I set that team up for hyper growth, then helped lead on the HR side as well.  More recently, I've joined those pursuing a portfolio career and serve as a Fractional Leader while starting up my own business to serve those in career transition.
