If you're not asking these questions, you're probably passing up game-changing #construction talent.

Construction hiring is fierce. 
Every project manager, superintendent, or estimator should be vetted with questions that cut through the BS and reveal the real story.

Here's what to ask:

1. Tell me about a time you faced a major issue on site. How did you handle it? 
If they dodge or give a rehearsed answer, move on. 
If they own their mistakes and explain how they fixed it, that's a winner.

2. How do you stay organized on a busy job site? 
Look for specifics. 
Good candidates don't just say "I stay organized." 
They talk about tools, routines, or systems they rely on.

3. What's your biggest failure in construction? 
Everyone's failed. 
But how they talk about it shows their maturity and growth mindset.

4. How do you handle conflicts with team members or clients? 
Construction is relationship-driven. 
If they show empathy and problem-solving, they're likely a team player.

5. What's your approach to safety? 
Not just policies, but how they foster a safety-first mindset daily.

These questions aren't about yes or no answers. 
They're about revealing character, problem-solving skills, and leadership.

Skip these, and you'll be chasing shadows. 
Ask the right questions, hire the right people.

🚫 📸 #Construction Leaders - Including a photo on your resume might be doing more harm than good.

Why? It can distract from your skills, raise questions about professionalism, and even mess with applicant tracking systems (ATS). Plus, many recruiters prefer to avoid potential bias or discrimination, so they skip over resumes with pictures.

Unless you're pursuing acting, modeling, or working in a region where photos are standard, it's best to leave it out.

Instead, showcase your professional image on your LinkedIn profile or personal website. That's where your personality can shine without risking your chances.
