In another life, I was a tattoo artist. Tattoos were fine.

Tattoos weren't a problem to build a 7-figure growth hacking agency.
Tattoos fit the hacker in the mind of people.

Yet, since I started work in the silver economy and especially in health care...

I see the looks.
I sometimes have comments.
I understand them.

Am I a smarter, better or more capable person without tattoos? 
Certainly not.

Is it fair? 
Not really.

Yet, when you work with humans, you have to understand the social rules of humans.

And humans associate tattoos with a lack a seriousness, reliability.

I don't blame them, the human brain work by association.

Now, I can spend my life complain about it...

Or I can decide that what I want to achieve here is bigger than being right...

So I decided.

Nothing will prevent me from getting where I want to get.

When you think something isn't fair in business...

Remember that, no one cares about your emotions.

🧠 The brain is a computer and you can hack it to have an advantage on others👇

1. Your brain rewires in minutes, not months.

😳 I realized: working on a billion dollar idea is easier than working on a reasonable business. 👇

I always meet entrepreneurs who "work on that easy things first and then will work on something big".

But smaller things things aren't easier. 

$100K or $1M projects are as hard to execute as the big thing that excites you...

When I started a business, I also had the same process: 

- Finding something I could do 
- Finding something that had minimum uncertainty
- Finding something that can make profit fast

Whenever an idea seemed too ambitious, no matter how exciting... It just felt too had to pull off.

But the truth is, you have 24h...

No matter if you want to launch a logo design agency or rocket in orbit... You will be working the same amount of time.

When you work on an ambitious project... You don't work alone.

Your work isn't harder, it is different.

In an ambitious project you become the orchestrator rather than the sole operator.

You don't need to de the best at everything and do everything yourself.

With an ambitious project it is: 

- Easier to start conversations with people
- Easier to find motivation and passion
- Easier to attract brilliant people
- Easier to find clarity

People are happy to bet on extraordinary ambition. Investors, employees, advisors,...

And this put you in a role where vision and clarity are the most important skills and where brilliant minds back you up on the challenges.

😳 People who build big things are either in pain or crazy (or both).

Building is lonely. Very lonely.

The ambition is the sublimation of the internal struggle... You can't be normal and accept to endure what is required.

For me...

When I was younger, I felt small...

And becoming strong became an obsession: 

- I worked out hard at the gym to be strong
- I trained boxing to be powerful
- I worked hard to be financially capable

And before I knew this quest became part of my identity... 

Until I became borderline egomaniac (Yes, I will admit that).

Until I couldn't live a life without disproportionate goals without feeling a dissonance with my core identity...

Sometimes, I see people talking about entrepreneurship like it is made of cotton candy...

They are upset that it isn't more inclusive toward people who are less obsessed...

But capitalism is pure pragmatism...

- It knows no sympathy
- It knows no "yes, but"
- It knows no excuses

It only knows output and competition.

And when you play the output game, you compete with people who throw their entire life in the game like their survival depends on it, because it might.

Just a Sunday thought.

😳 As a drop-out, I wanted to do medicine. I got books, got my high-school diploma... and the university rejected me... But

But here is why you should NEVER take "no" for an answer. 
(Except in dating, because then you are a creep)

At first I was devastated...

I have worked so hard alongside my job... 
I was the only self-applicant to get the honors in France that year....

It didn't matter.
So I spent years doing "what I could do"...

Then I discovered that, with determination and YouTube, there is no limit to "what one can do"...

So I started my entrepreneurial journey.

Later I discovered Andrew Huberman's channel, I realized that my passion was still there... 

Plus, when you can remember terms like "suprachiasmatic nucleus"... Get outta here!! I deserve to be a doc' too, just for that! 

This reignited the flame of a calling.

I then decided to learn about neuroscience by myself
- listening to content
- reading online material
- reading scientific papers

And I launched Amigo | AI Memory Care

There I had the chance to talk with inspiring doctors (hello Audrey GABELLE) and above all, not sound like an idiot when talking with them.

Since you got only one life, feeling sorry for yourself is a disservice to yourself... Even if you are right. No one cares.

If you want something more than anything else... the ground is the lowest place you can start... 

So even if you are thrown there: you stand, you fight, you climb...

Won't be easy...

But nothing worth it is easy.

And if you are just obsessed enough... You might make it.

The "Hustle VS Work-Life Balance" debate is trending again lately. The Pro-Work-Life Balance just forget a detail 👇

The human nature doesn't thrive in comfort. 
It thrives in transcendence.

People are unhappy because they evaluate their level of achievement in comparison to others'...

And as supported by the first law of thermodynamics...
When you want more, you need to input more...

And as all of us put more... 
The requirement to achieve baseline and then exception raises.

Actually you are not required to participate. 
The hustle culture game is not mandatory...

The problem is, you can't expect to achieve as much or more than the people who play this game and refuse to put the same intensity.

Because their achievement is the direct consequence of their intensity.

Now the question:

Is it necessary?

It is not. You can just live a more relaxed life. And it is ok. It is probably healthier in many ways.

You just can't live the chill life and expect the high achievement outputs.

Maths are just not mathing.

Your problem is not the hustle culture... It is your instinct of comparison and your need to be exceptional. 

The hustle culture isn't your problem.
You is your problem.

Stop comparing. Just do you.

Finance Islamique 2.0 : Promesse éthique ou stratégie commerciale ? 

Je parle de Kifayah, de ma vision de la finance islamique, l'innovation des produits, la transmission et la cohésion des acteurs. 

Il y a clairement un changement dans l'écosystème, à chacun de se donner les moyens d'y contribuer. 

On a tous un rôle à jouer :

J'ai pris goût à être devant une caméra. 

Préparez vous à voir ma tête partout.

De quoi vous voulez qu'on parle ? Sans bullshit.

Comment et où se renseigner [autour de la finance islamique] ? Quelles sont les sources fiables ? Comment les challenger ?

Il y a clairement un manque de contenu francophone sur la finance islamique. Et soyons honnêtes : quand du contenu existe… il n’est pas toujours qualitatif et clair.

Donc, quelques réflexes simples à adopter quand vous tombez sur du contenu, écrit ou vidéo :
1) Regardez la vidéo en entier :  Les extraits TikTok / YouTube Shorts sortis du contexte, ça ne compte pas.

2) Analysez qui parle et le discours : Quel est son parcours ? Ses études ? Son expérience réelle dans le domaine ? Si la légitimité n’est pas claire, prudence.

3) Vérifiez les sources.  S’il n’y a aucune référence, aucune citation, aucune preuve, on passe à autre chose.

4) Posez des questions. Un DM, un mail.  Mais soyez justes : laissez le temps de répondre.

Maintenant, voyons le verre à moitié plein : il y a quand même des ressources qui méritent votre attention. Voici quelques contenus que je recommande :

Vous levez des fonds ou vous avez besoin de financement ?  Voici la “secret sauce” pour maximiser vos chances de réussite 🔽

Soyez prêt à vous faire secouer dans tous les sens. 

Lever des fonds ce n'est pas que "pitcher". Chez Kifayah, on voit passer pas mal de dossiers, et on observe souvent un manque de pragmatisme.

Voici les bonnes pratiques indispensables :
1) Soyez rapides. Vous rencontrez un investisseur : si votre pitch deck n’est pas dans sa boîte mail dans l’heure, il vous aura oublié.

2) Préparez votre dossier. Soyez prêt à tout dégainer : Pitch deck, data room, bilan & CR, Business plan, Prévisionnel, rapport de gestion, statuts... Bref, soyez prêt.

3) Maîtrisez vos chiffres. Coûts, marges, rentabilité, cashflow, % B2B/B2C, saisonnalité…  Vous devez être incollable. Sinon, pourquoi investirait-il plus que vous ne comprenez votre propre modèle ?

4) Mettez-vous à la place de l’investisseur. Pourquoi vous financerait-il ? Quel est son intérêt ? À quoi contribue-t-il ? La sensibilité au projet compte autant que l'aspect rationnel.

5) Cashflow is king. Montrez que vous comprenez la trésorerie et ses enjeux. La plupart des startups ne meurent pas faute d’idée, mais faute de cash.

6) Prévoyez l’imprévisible. Présentez 3 scénarios : Worst case, Conservateur, Optimiste. Montrez que vous êtes pragmatiques, lucides et robustes.

7) Les coûts juridiques. Pacte d’associés, structuration juridique, validation Shariah, commission sur la levée…  Ce sont des coûts nécessaires. Mais qui les prend en charge ? Anticipez-le.

8) Pensez à l’exit. Vous faites entrer des investisseurs. Très bien. Mais comment sortent-ils ?

9) Storytelling. Votre projet, c’est votre vie.  Pas (encore) celle de l’investisseur. À vous de l’entraîner dans une histoire qu’il a envie de rejoindre.

10) Transparence. Tout finit par se savoir.  Ne cachez rien à vos partenaires, encore moins à vos investisseurs. La confiance, ça se construit. Et ça se perd très vite.

Pensez à bien vous faire accompagner : Expert-comptable, avocat, CGP. Chacun son métier : vous faire du business, eux vous accompagner.

Investir, ce n’est pas simplement placer son argent. C’est lui donner du sens.

Mais avant d’investir : nous posons des questions à nos investisseurs. Parce que certains y mettent des années d’épargne, des nuits blanches de travail, des sacrifices, et nous en sommes responsables.

Avant d’investir, posez-vous honnêtement les questions suivantes :
1) Horizon. Combien de temps êtes-vous prêt à immobiliser cet argent ?

2) Risque. Quel niveau de perte êtes-vous réellement capable d’assumer ?

3) Objectifs. Pourquoi investissez-vous ? Retraite ? Revenu complémentaire ? Projet précis ?

4) Rendement. Quel rendement attendez-vous vraiment ?

5) Sensibilité. Quels types de projets vous attirent… ou vous rebutent ?

6) Liquidité. À quelle vitesse pourriez-vous avoir besoin de récupérer ces fonds ?

7) Confiance. Faites-vous confiance à l’intermédiaire qui vous propose l’opportunité ?

8) Conformisme. Investissez-vous par conviction… ou par FOMO ?

9) Compréhension. À quel point comprenez-vous le projet dans lequel vous investissez ?

10) Proportion. Quelle part de votre épargne placez-vous réellement ?

11) Validation. Le projet a les garanties nécessaires ? Validation par un avocat, un expert-comptable, un shariah board. 

Et la règle d’or : si vous avez un doute, ne faites rien. Les opportunités reviennent toujours.
