With a strong background in quantitative finance, Akhil has over 12 years of experience in managing investment risk, having previously worked at Citigroup and led a $400M asset management firm. His academic credentials include a degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Bombay) and Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). My passion in life is helping people improve their mental health and well-being. Some of my skills and talents and experiences are in modeling, Cosmetologists, specializing in hair cutting/coloring, braiding, arts, poetry, fashion, cooking, law, and psychology, Ballerina, patient advocate. Interest is music, martial arts, singing, acting, playing instruments, reading, writing, shopping. It bothers me to see any human hurt. That could be my sensitive being. Point is it took a lot to realize that this is my destiny/ purpose helping others.Therefore, I strongly believe that, one way to approach health/ mental health is having a supportive environment, positive people/ love ones, friends that can uplift us, not judge us or criticize us. My goal is to help others not only feel better in all aspects of their lives but also want people to know that they are not alone, and that regardless of our circumstances, disabilities, you matter and you are loved. Ultimately, we are all perfect, just the way we are..Even when we are not at our best or not feeling well. There's hope I'm living proof that if we help ourselves, anything can improve with time, persistence, dedication, strength, faith, and willingness to be a better self.
In my mission to help others, I have studied psychology, forensic psychology, human mind, human behavior, human development, law, and religion. Education and research have been important for me my entire life. By becoming knowledgeable, I've been able to find solutions, strategies, and tools. Most importantly, my own personal life experiences has allow me to be to put myself in others' shoes. My approach when working with the public is to use compassion, art, music, food/ nutrition, psychology, exercise and most crucial faith. I believe all things are possible to achieve when it comes to our personal goals, health both physically or mentally, achievements, while living a more healthy, peaceful, more meaningful lifestyle.
