Kaboom! Anthropic just launched Cowork and made Claude Code accessible to non-developers. 

Yesterday, Anthropic launched Cowork as a research preview - a simplified version of Claude Code designed for business users who don't write code.

This is a big deal.

Claude Code has been the hottest AI tool since its release. Developers used it for coding. Then for everything else. Then business users started playing with it.

The problem: most business users found it too intimidating to adopt.

Cowork should fix that.

Here's what I'm expecting from it:

𝟭. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆'𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴
Claude Code is powerful but complex. Cowork simplifies the interface specifically for non-technical users. Anthropic knows that business adoption requires lowering the barrier to entry - and they're betting big on making this accessible.

𝟮. 𝗜𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗮𝘀 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗱𝗲
Cowork comes with restrictions by design. I'm curious to understand what trade-offs Anthropic made - and whether those limitations actually help or hurt adoption for typical business use cases.

𝟯. 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗱
Enterprise buyers need controlled environments. If Cowork delivers better security guardrails while maintaining usefulness, it becomes the tool you can roll out to every employee.

Anthropic is executing on business AI better than anyone right now.

While other providers focus on developer tools or basic chat, Anthropic is building a complete stack for enterprise adoption - from power users (Claude Code) to everyday business users (Cowork).

If your company is still on the fence regarding which AI provider to standardize on: Anthropic is making the strongest case right now.

Building with Zapier’s Tables, Interfaces, AI+ and posting about it.

I was a trash man in 2018.

Failed two businesses. Was newly wed. Baby on the way. But then something changed.

I started building. 

I built wooden furniture, an online course, software, LEGO towers.

Zapier ended up being my go-to building block.

I had used Zapier to automate in the past, but I discovered a new way to use it to BUILD. 

I rallied.

- started a community
- wrote a newsletter
- published a course

...all about Zapier. 

Many years later, things are quite a bit different from the trash days.

I now work at Zapier and spend most of my day building with AI in Zapier.

Prepping for my workshop today (🙌) but need feedback. Does this slide land? What's an Agent good at? My take:

Agents do way more than AI/LLMs by themselves.

Agents, within Zapier, are best at:

- Taking context from 8k apps + web
- Using the AI big four: Extracting, Summarizing, Classifying, Writing
- Taking action from 30k options 

... and then doing this independently. 

So you just decide when they wake up to work. 

Setting this up and getting it to work is what I'll cover in today's build-a-long.

Building with AI in Zapier | AI Marketing Manager

I've got a problem with email. 

funny 'cause I actually like the writing part. But it’s the constant micro-decisions with email that PAIN me:

- Is this urgent?
- Do I need to take action now or later?
- Is there missing context?
- Is this junk?
- Do I need to follow up?

AI can help.

This Thursday (8 Jan), we're showing you how to use Zapier Agents with conditional logic to reduce the decision load: triage, draft, route, and escalate.

But you'll still be in control.

With my personal setup, AI Agents:
- pull out junk/cold emails
- categorize action, waiting, and read/skim
- check my calendar for availability when necessary

With AI, it's about making things less painful not taking over.

Built this AI agent for my calendar and fixes something so manual. Simple and impactful... the way I like it.

Sending a booking link can feel a little cold. Takes a personal touch out of things. (It's like saying, "hey, you do the work of scheduling, not me").

Instead, build this simple “availability agent” that checks calendar(s) and gives you a clean, copy-paste list of free times.

Here’s how it works:
- You choose the meeting length (30 / 60 / 90 mins, etc.)
- It checks availability across 2+ calendars
- It outputs a paste-ready list you can drop straight into an email or DM

So when someone asks to meet, you can stay personal…
…instead of shoveling them to a booking page.

👉But it gets better.

Start with availability. Then build on top of it.

Once you have that foundation, you can extend it in a bunch of directions:

→Context-aware
Run it in a Chrome extension so it can use the page you’re on (like an email thread)

→Smart scheduling
Handle multiple calendars + time zones + “plain English” rules
Recommend best times based on your meeting load
Auto-hold time after you send availability to prevent conflicts

→Automation
Coordinate with PM agents to schedule focus blocks
Draft the availability email automatically

An agent that can see your calendar can do… a ton. But the foundation is availability.
