WintWealth.com ( Previously GrowFix) is a platform to invest in fixed income assets that give you higher than FD returns but are less risky than equities.

Nishant is the Chief Compliance and Legal Officer at Wint Wealth. His responsibilities include overall management of compliance and legal affairs of the Company. Nishant also has a deep focus on engaging with external and internal stakeholders to discuss and assess further alternative investment products and strategies for the Company. 

He also manages the general legal matters of the company for formulation and management of contracts with various third parties for smooth functioning of the business platform. He continues to remain responsible for stakeholder communication at various levels internally and externally including dealings with regulators and investors. 

He also carries his deep engagement on the product side of the business with involvement in various aspects of the business including new product flows on the platform such as onboarding, referral, landing page and content. Marketing also is something which is overseen by him from a compliance and also a customer lens to provide legal and customer perspectives to the team in one shot. He also engages with the HR team as a personal passion to solidify and provide direction to HR Strategy and other activities for employee engagement and betterment.

Scripbox

Nishant was the General Legal Counsel at Scripbox. His role included overseeing the fund raises which include private equity transactions and implementation of the inorganic company growth strategies by forging strong relations and integrating with similar minded members of the finance - tech community.

Nishant was also responsible for the regulatory compliance of Scripbox. He had the responsibility of formulating and managing of contracts with the various third party partners for smooth functioning of the service. He also took care of company related interactions and dealings with investors and regulators.

In addition to the key legal & compliance functions, he was also actively involved in various project teams for new product ideas which involve strategy creation for use of the product and the  execution in line with regulatory requirements. He also assisted in managing inter-departmental co-ordination and strategy including marketing strategy and content, product development, customer on-boarding flows and customer support. Nishant also engaged with the HR team to ensure that adequate and compliant corporate policies are in place and labour law related developments and compliances are adhered to at all times.

As Legal Counsel, Nishant looked after the regulatory, compliance and contract management functions of Scripbox. He was also in-charge of interactions and negotiations with investors and regulators along with looking after the private equity and strategic growth proposals and transactions of the Company.

India Resurgence Fund (IndiaRF)

During my stint at India Resurgence Fund, which is a joint venture between the Piramal Group and Bain Capital for investments in distressed assets in India, I was in the role of legal head and was working closely with senior members of the Fund including the MD and assisted them in contractual reviews and regulatory compliance inputs along with transactional support for investments in distressed assets under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code 2016.

Engaged students with a broader and practical application of employment law through various drafting, diligence and issue spotting exercises. Also took multiple classes based on articles and laws to help the, better understand how the laws function as a whole due to the multiplicity of labour law legislations in India.

A legal professional with over 9 years of experience in commercial laws and transaction with diverse experience and high quality problem solving, communication, interpersonal and strong negotiating skills along with an ability to multi-task and conduct assessment of regulatory and business issues. Currently performing the role of Chief Compliance and Legal Officer (CCO) at Wint Wealth with a focus on regulatory aspects in the fintech sector, specifically in the retail investment and wealth management space.

Wint Wealth is an exciting platform democratising debt investments in India by offering an alternate investment platform towards fixed income high return assets in India and is a unique platform in the Indian finance ecosystem providing the average retail investor a great short term alternative debt investment product with fixed and high returns. 

Before taking up this role Nishant was the Manager-Legal at Scripbox, a friendly investment platform which aims at being a complete digital wealth manager for every customer. Nishant primarily looked at corporate and regulatory compliance and was also engaged in business strategy wearing a compliance lens. 

Nishant also worked for 3 (three) years at Khaitan & Co. at their Mumbai Office as an Associate with the corporate practice group, focussed on private equity, mergers & acquisitions, foreign investment and alternative investment fund (AIF) related transactions. 

During his stint at Khaitan & Co., he has represented multiple domestic and international clients in relation to strategic foreign investments in Indian companies, joint venture collaborations, share transfers and strategic alliances. He has also advised several clients on exchange control laws, sector specific compliances, corporate compliances and general corporate aspects. 

Nishant joined Khaitan & Co. directly after graduating from NALSAR University of Law in Hyderabad in 2015.

Nishant has also done a secondment stint as the Legal Head at India Resurgence Fund, which is an AIF and a joint venture of Piramal Enterprises Limited and Bain Capital.

Nishant has been recognised as a Finalist in two categories - 'In House Counsel of the Year' and 'Young Lawyer of the Year' in the ALB India Law Awards 2021.

Nishant has also recently been recognised and awarded the Lex Falcon Award in the Lex Talk World Global Conference held at Dubai in February 2022 in the category of Legal (Under 10 years) for impact fully contributing to the legal industry with great knowledge, reach and innovation with a futuristic spirit and approach.
