-To be Donna (Suits fans, make some noise) because Donna knows everything. To constantly monitor and keep an eye on the trends and happenings in the industry. To edit and fact-check content created by Junior Copywriters.

-To ensure to elevate the brochures, banners, emails, Web copy, ad copy etc that passes by my desk to a Monica clean, crisp and perfect level. (Friends fan, this one is for you) 


-To be professor Sergio Marquina to my coworkers and use SEO practice to optimise the content, collaborate with copywriters to create bomb concepts and associate with Designers to develop outstanding visuals. (I am so in love with Money Heist) 

-To be a go-to human interviewing clients and experts to generate creative ideas, shaping tone and language for usage in brochures, banners, web copy, sales emails etc

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀𝘁 ‘𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻’ 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲.

Ed Sheeran recently shared the funniest story about meeting Messi.
He said he spent almost three minutes talking non-stop praising him, hyping him, telling him how incredible he was…
and genuinely believing they were having a deep moment.

Meanwhile Messi?
Just smiling.
Nodding.
Looking delighted by… something.

Then someone gently whispered to Ed:
“𝘏𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴𝘯’𝘵 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘬 𝘌𝘯𝘨𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘩.”

Ed froze.
Messi had understood nothing.
He was just being polite.

And honestly?
This is how half our conversations go in real life too.

Sometimes you’re not misunderstood.
You’re simply speaking to someone in a language they don’t speak.

And I don’t just mean English or Spanish.
I mean:
• emotional language
• communication style
• learning pace
• energy
• context
• personality

Match the language → you build connections.
Miss the language → you get polite confusion and a lot of smiling.

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲.

The reporter wasn’t just asking a question.
He was trying to troll her…
trying to get a reaction…
trying to make her feel “𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀” by comparing her to Aishwarya and Priyanka.

And Sushmita doesn’t even blink.

No irritation.
No defence.
No insecurity.
Just pure grace.

She simply says,
“𝘗𝘳𝘪𝘺𝘢𝘯𝘬𝘢 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘥𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘧𝘦𝘸 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦. 𝘚𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘥𝘦 𝘶𝘴 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘥.”

That one line shut the entire narrative down.

Because when someone is rooted in who they are,
you can’t provoke them into proving their worth.
You can’t shake them with comparison.
You can’t pull them into a fight they don’t need.

This is what presence looks like.

Celebrating someone else’s success without seeing it as a threat.
Responding without taking the bait.
Standing tall without raising your voice.

Dating and Interview

𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗮𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀.

This video made me pause.
Most of us compare our present life with someone else’s present life…
But we rarely ask the one question that actually matters:

Where did they start from?
Someone might look miles ahead today,
but maybe they began 200 meters in front.

Someone else might seem behind,
but maybe they started 50 meters after the starting line.

We look at outcomes, labels, and positions…and forget that every person’s starting point is different.

Every race is different.
Every advantage and disadvantage is different.
So what exactly are we comparing?

If there’s one thing this clip reminded me of, it’s this:
Your progress makes sense only when measured against your own beginning.
Not anyone else’s.

If you must compare, 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱.
𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴.
Not where someone else is standing.
And when you look at your own journey that way…you’ll realise you’re doing far better than you give yourself credit for.

I didn’t even see this when Suman first posted it, she had shared it with me, but I was buried in work. Then I suddenly found it on my feed… and it completely made my day. 💛

One of the toughest parts of this work is that people rarely share their experiences publicly, even when the transformation runs deep.

So when someone does, and does it so beautifully, it means the world. 🙏

We have a weekly session where we learn about how communication in the right manner can bring about the changes we are expecting out of us. Yesterday during the activity session I picked up the topic #change

Though there were very amazing topics, yet this one resonated with me the most. 

WHY

Because in the last few months after joining April Strong, 💪 ACC (ICF) for her sessions, the only thing constant in my life is CHANGE.

Some of the beautiful sentences which have brought the change.

1. If you are not programming your brain, it's still getting programmed.
2. Taking a pause - is my strength.
3. My state will lead my situation.
4. Who do I want to be today? 
5. Every challenge is an opportunity to prove my strength.
6. Productivity means doing what matters the most.
7. We don't get energy from others, we carry our own.

And many more along the journey.

This is a #gratitude post and I wish a lot of people can get benefitted by taking that leap of faith as I took.

I remember this video every time it felt like building a mindful mindset. This video mirrors how we create the change in our life by choosing being mindful and aware.

𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝗮 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗗𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆.. 

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗿𝘆 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲 - 𝘁𝘄𝗶𝗰𝗲?

One of my closest friends VIQUARRH S. recently left an organisation after a short sprint with them.

The strange part?
Throughout his 3-month notice period, people kept assuming he would stay back.
He kept hearing:
“No no, we won’t let you go.”
“You’re too important.”

And I was wondering - how did he do that in such a short span?

But that wasn’t all.

On the last day, colleagues, even the ones he’d had tough conversations with, walked up and said:

“I don’t know how the team will function without you.”
“You’ve changed everything.”
“We wish you’d stay.”
“You’ve set the bar so high.”
“Are you sure you can’t reconsider?”

And this wasn’t after 10 years.

This was just one year.

The first time I saw this happen was when he left his previous organisation.
And back then, I thought -
He must’ve created something really special.

The second time?
I realised… it wasn’t luck.
It was crazy-ass leadership.

But here’s what surprised me:

He isn’t the sweet, overly empathetic kind of leader.

He can be warm, but he’s not soft.
He can be kind, but he’s not afraid to say,
“That’s not good enough.”

He strikes that rare balance between being deeply human
and unapologetically direct.

People trust his feedback because it’s honest.
And when he says something needs to change, they listen.

He won’t cushion things to keep people comfortable.
If you’ve done something wrong, he’ll call it out directly.
But if you’re right, he’ll stand by you like a rock.

He’s earned love not by being soft,
But by being consistent, direct, and holding people accountable.

One day, I asked him:
“How do you create this kind of impact?”

He said:

“I treat the company like it’s mine. I don’t see myself as an employee.
I never wait for permission or authority.
I make decisions.
I take full ownership.
And April, I work for the organisation, not for the manager.
So I always ask, ‘What’s best for the company?’”

That’s leadership that doesn’t just deliver results.
It leaves a vacuum when it’s gone.

Not every exit hurts.
But when it does, you know that leader built something real.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗜 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲

I didn’t choose how I was born.
But I did choose who I became.

In April 2020, after losing everything 
…I made one choice:
To stop surviving.
And start building someone new.

That person needed a new name.
Not a name tied to pain.
But a name rooted in power.
That’s when 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 was born.

Not my birth name.
My rebirth name.

She asks me just one question every morning:
How can I make today count?

Back then, when my future looked like a pitch-black tunnel, a friend said, “Take one day at a time.”

It took me time to understand that. But when I understood that statement. 
I clung to it.
And today, I want to be that friend for you.

When you’re in pain, life feels like an ugly, endless road.
But that’s only because you can’t see clearly yet.

Every dawn is a doorway.
And every day is a chance to begin again.

“Take one day at a time.” and tell me

This clip felt very real to me.

The first woman didn’t get priority because she had influence.
She mattered because she cared.
She showed up every year.

She supported the bakery even in lockdown when no one was stepping out.

She ordered pies she didn’t even pick up… just so the shop would feel seen, supported, remembered.
And that’s what the owner remembered.

Not the order.
Not the money.
But the feeling.

It reminded me how human we all are underneath everything we do.
Sometimes people become important to us simply because they’ve shown us a little warmth, a little consistency, a little kindness over time.

We think relationships are built through big moments.
But when I look closely, maybe they’re really built on small gestures and care.

I was this close to giving up.

But life doesn’t work like that.

Everyone has a different context.
A different world they come from.
A different set of battles they’ve survived.

Someone may not know the President’s name…
But they may know how to earn for an entire family.
They may know how to handle loss with grace.
They may know emotional strength in a way most people never will.

Being uninformed about one thing is not the same as being unintelligent.

And often, the greatest wisdom people carry comes from the life they’ve lived, not the books they’ve read.

This clip reminded me how important it is to pause before forming an opinion about someone.

A little less judgment in the world.
A little more curiosity about people’s stories.
It really does go a long way.

 Anyone who has lived on this earth for even 24 years is a very wise person. A very wise man or a very wise woman.
You don’t know their context. Let that go.
 You ask them the name of the President and say, “Oh, they don’t know this.”
But knowing the President has nothing to do with their life context.
 That information may be useful for you, but ask them about their life and they will tell you so much.
They have a lot to say. A lot.
 But first, you have to become someone who asks and someone who listens.
You cannot judge people by your own metrics, your own scale, and decide that this person is intelligent and that person is stupid.
Everyone has their own life context.
 Where someone came from.
 What someone learned.
 What experiences shaped them.
If you ask them about their life, you will understand.

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲, 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀.

On Sunday, I was sitting there, frustrated…
feeling that voice inside me saying, “I’m doing everything possible… 

Then why are my results nowhere close to where they should be?”
And right then, this Zakir Khan clip shows up on my feed.

Two lines hit me hard:
“Let the record show that I took the blow.”
“I did it my way.”
Isn’t it true?

We get so focused on outcomes that we forget the quiet courage of simply staying in the game.

Showing up when no one claps.
Carrying weight no one else can see.
Taking the hit and still choosing our own path.
Sometimes the work feels heavy.
Sometimes the progress feels invisible.
Sometimes it feels like your bones are cracking under the load.

But this reminded me of one thing:
Effort shapes us in ways results never can.
