Grow So Much, You'll Need A Bigger Dream

I had to go a bit quiet on LinkedIn, because I had to heal.  

And... I think there are a lot of people out there at the moment struggling in their own ways. 

For me... 

Our little boy is out of school for an extended stretch, losing a key team member and elective surgery on a torn rotator cuff all landed at once. 

It was a storm of things that individually, I could handle, but collectively, TBH, they felt enormous.

At home, in December, I became an entertainer, teacher, and nurse all at once to our little boy.

At work, we ended up losing the person we had in our succession plan to take over.  

And from a health perspective, my shoulder operation on New Years eve topped it off. 

Emotional pain, physical pain, stress and a slow rehab took me down. 

And my Mum always said, if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.

So as everything started to pile up, I stopped posting. 

I needed to refill the tank.

So I rested. 

Slow rehab, tough conversations with the team, and protecting family time were what was needed.

I’m not back at full throttle yet, but I’m stronger and clearer about my priorities. 

I know im not alone. 

I know we've all got our own shit going on. 

Pain, Illness, Stress...

So, If you’re feeling the pressure. 

Consider this permission to pause and take a break. 

Recoup and rebuild. 

And learn to rest, not quit.
