If you're a founder building something from absolutely nothing, that's a huge win. It takes courage to bet on yourself and go for it.

Most people never get started at all.

Most always focus on what could go wrong.

Most wish they could take a swing like you.

Give yourself more credit. You're doing great.

Remember that and keep going.

Startups are really hard.

That’s why most people never build one.

Luckily you don't have to be like most people.

As Product Manager at Disguise, I am responsible for the technical vision and development of Disguise products, collaborating with the Community, Sales, Marketing, Training and Support teams, to guide & inform the overall vision for the product roadmap.

Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, we work together on key decisions, market intelligence and product strategy ensuring Disguise continues to grow as the industry's leading media server platform.

My role as Associate Product Manager primarily focuses on championing the User Experience inside our R&D team to ensure we deliver high quality features & software improvements that positively impact our community. 

I continue to be the primary author of the disguise help site in this role, which allows me to constantly improve my technical writing & web development skillset.

Associate Product Manager

As Training Manager at Disguise, i've been responsible for developing our Training syllabus, delivery strategy, Training commercialisation and global Training event management alongside a team of internal and external Training staff. 

During my three years in the role, we successfully grew the Training schedule from one set of monthly Training in London, to monthly courses in New York, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Shanghai and a large number of partner locations. 

Key achievements -

· Attendee growth from 150 attendees in 2016 to a goal of 1000 attendees in 2019. 
· Vastly improved customer experience at all face to face Training events. 
· Successfully Implemented a new global event booking system.
· Re-deployed the disguise online User Guide in an up to date, responsive web format.

I was brought in by BSkyB to Train their lighting team on the lighting control systems installed in their newly built multi-purpose studios. Throughout this time, I took their electricians through a comprehensive syllabus that was tailored to their needs. 

When the Training had come to an end, I was kept on in a freelance capacity to serve as Lighting Programmer on shows that warranted a dedicated Programmer.
