As a key team member in Base Hotels, I take on a role that goes beyond traditional front office duties. I manage guest check-ins and check-outs while also overseeing reservation systems to ensure smooth and accurate bookings. My responsibilities include creating and maintaining the housekeeping schedule, coordinating room readiness, and ensuring high standards of cleanliness and service. I also handle billing and invoicing for both individual guests and corporate clients, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. A large part of my role is guest-focused — I strive to anticipate and meet guest needs with a personalized and solution-oriented approach, contributing to an exceptional stay experience.

FOOTBALL4iMPACT

FOOTBALL4iMPACT is a unique opportunity to combine young people from very different nationalities and socio-economic backgrounds and encourage them to come together through their common love of football. This project, although in its infancy, is one that is envisioned to occur on a yearly basis. The main aim is to provide young people in London and Switzerland a chance to connect and learn about pertinent topics and how these can be strengthened and alleviated through involvement in sport. The programme will be hosted primarily at Hackney Marshes and is a key component of a council wide strategy to improve the outcomes of young people aged 16 – 18 years old in the borough in the main. The global reach and interest in football lends to attracting and engaging with young people predominantly from a cross section of society but often with those most marginalised from mainstream opportunities.  Football will clearly be used as the platform for engagement and to meet the wider council objective.

Efrontiers has developed an app called money masters, the purpose of the app is to provide individuals world wide an opportunity to learn finance through gamification, spaced repetition and micro learning methods in order to help people become financially literate.

Through this internship I was able to have a first glance at what a small company needs to do in order to have a chance at success. My contribution to the business was in realms of:

Sales:
    - which involved finding potential clients that have aligned interests, in order to do so I looked at finding a contact in the company who was in a marketing position (growth, marketing, sales etc.)

Creating Social Media Posts: 
   - I used the companies past primary and secondary research to create posts which would help users understand the science and purpose behind the initiative. E.g only 1 third world wide is financially literate.

Finding potential investors:
   - I looked for venture capitalists who had aligned interests such as the fintech and edtech industries and pre-seed startups. The suitable investors were then placed in an Excel sheet with the email, website,  and application form if there was one.
