Merkle

As the Senior Director, PMO, I led the 6-person project management team who handled end-to-end implementations for new loyalty programs using the Agency Agile methodology. Our client portfolio included Red Lobster, GAP/PacSun, J.Crew, Under Armour, Michael Kors, and Abercrombie and Fitch.

➸ Led the client engagement through all phases: project plan, weekly updates, test management, scheduling development, and production launch, with a heavy focus on building client relationships, expanding business accounts, and negotiating contracts.

➸ Managed contract execution, including drafting statement of work, negotiating pricing, collaborating with Merkle finance and contracts teams, obtaining approvals through legal team, and managing Salesforce entries.

➸ Spearheaded the build of Red Lobster’s loyalty program. Partnered with their marketing team to promote advertising campaigns and incorporate the program into those promotions, driving an unheard-of growth rate from 500K migrated email members to 4.2M loyalty members within 2 years.

➸ Leveraged customer insights and strategy to inform the decision to mirror the underperforming Abercrombie and Fitch program with the Hollister program. This change built desired momentum that increased in-cart transaction value by 13% within the first 6 months, boosted member retention, and decreased opt-outs by 22% within the first year.

➸ Expanded the firm’s relationship with Under Armour, which transformed the account into a full-service marketing agency relationship and generated additional revenue for the firm.

Senior Director, Project Management Office

Kobie Marketing

While with Kobie Marketing, I directed the project management team to lead the Agile Scrum planning, development, testing, and release of loyalty software solutions. I worked in a client-facing capacity with Best Buy, Subway, Justice, and AMC Theatres.

➸ Established and led the PMO by centralizing the team from 5 disparate departments to one, standardizing practices, enhancing quality control, and driving efficiencies. This was the team that oversaw the design, build, testing and ongoing management of the loyalty program for retailers.

➸ Created and maintained standard implementation templates for all phases of a project: project plans, business requirements, technical design, weekly executive summary, and program acceptance and sign off.

➸ Conducted loyalty and marketing analysis and provided best practices to develop strategy and solutions to solve specific business needs.

➸ Partnered with Legal to establish SOW language for all retail implementations in support of Master Service Agreement terms.

➸ Designed a change-order process to ensure timely/accurate revenue recognition while accounting for project scope and timelines.

In 2011, I transitioned to liaise between clients and development teams, managing client projects for the delivery of new digital platform initiatives and overseeing planning, daily stand ups, retrospectives, and demo meetings for the Agile Scrum team.

➸ Managed product backlog ensuring highest value items across multiple clients were completed on time to meet strategic goals.

➸ Drove the conversion within IT from waterfall to Agile Scrum teams, partnering with an Agile Coach to train the staff, form the teams, and conduct ongoing coaching. Featured in “Managed Agile Development: Making Agile Work for Your Business.”

➸ Led the launch of a redesigned consumer website that resulted in a 26% improvement in consumer engagement. 

➸ Launched a redesigned iOS mobile app with Passbook integration that resulted in 10K app downloads in a single day and was later featured in Times Square and promoted on TUAW.

➸ Integrated the Google Wallet onto the desktop and mobile optimized site and was featured on Google.com/wallet and in their Money2020 conference.

Upon first joining Valpak, I managed day-to-day operations for project coordinators and an operations specialist to ensure the team met all deliverables. I synchronized resources and incorporated activities across functional disciplines to deliver analytical email and bonus campaigns. 

➸ Created and staffed the Digital Support team, consisting of 6 specialists charged with supporting all digital products such as call tracking, SMS texting, client mobile websites, digital email, and more. 

➸ Formed and staffed the Digital Technology team. The team consisted of 4 project coordinators that were charged with leading enhancement projects, system projects, and product launches. Also, responsible for designing, building, and delivering all B2C email marketing.
