I started at BuildCorp Commercial in 2011.

Fresh on-site, taking on the basics.

General labouring.

Traffic control.

Cleaning amenities.

But I wasn’t the type to stay in one role.

I kept growing.

Kept earning new qualifications:

Forklift.

Manitou.

Dogman.

OH&S certification.

Early on, I took on the responsibility of being a safety rep.

It was my first step into leadership ensuring a safe working environment and being a voice for the team during toolbox meetings and site discussions.

From there, I progressed into the role of shop steward, representing the workers on-site and acting as a bridge between the builder and the union (CFMEU).

I held that role for over a year, advocating for workers, mediating issues, and driving fair outcomes.

In time, I transitioned back into OH&S, where I spent over two and a half years managing site safety.

It was a role I enjoyed not just for the leadership but because it kept me active.

Whether I was running toolbox meetings, putting up handrails, or operating the materials hoist, I thrived in a role that required movement and problem-solving.

By my final project, I was working with BuildCorp’s sister company, Arc3, as an OH&S rep on a major apartment project in Balwyn.

It was a rewarding end to my time with BuildCorp a chance to lead, solve problems, and work with teams to ensure both safety and success on-site.

Every step of the way, I’ve focused on growth getting a little better every day.

I’m someone who takes pride in hard work, adapting to challenges, and always moving forward.

Which is probably why I decided to start my online fitness business while still working in construction.

Did you know...that increasing the saliency of a call to action will make it more persuasive and more likely to be clicked?

Attention is persuasive. Wouldn't you like to capture 100% of attention instead of a mere fraction?

How it works 🧠
Let's look at the graphic together. What did I do to make it more salient?

🔹 Visual Contrast: Desaturated the main image.
🔹 Single Action: Made the secondary action button less salient (e.g., transparent button).
🔹 Arrows: Be careful with images of people. Humans instinctively grab attention, so they can steal attention away from a CTA.
🔹 Hide Exit Links: Removed any header and footer links in a funnel sequence.
🔹 CTA on the Right: Most people are right-handed, so they prefer interacting with elements on the right side.

Did you know... that using exclamation points in friendly emails makes you seem 13.5% more positive?
Have you ever typed “!” in an email, then deleted it because it felt… unprofessional? Here’s the twist. In the right context, that tiny mark makes you look warmer, friendlier, and more likable, with very little downside.

Research across five experiments and 2,000+ participants shows that when the topic is relational (think scheduling a call or following up), senders who used exclamation points were perceived as up to 21.3% warmer and 13.5% more positive.

Why it works 🧠
We read exclamation points the way we hear enthusiasm in speech. They signal emotion and sincerity. That lifts warmth and likeability. It also reduces perceived formality and assertiveness, which you don't want when setting deadlines or explaining data.

Punctuation is a psychological lever. Pull it when the goal is connection. Park it when the goal is control. Used well, you will be seen as warmer and just as competent.
