If you want to decode an organization’s culture, look at how people use CC!

In almost every email writing session I conduct, one question comes up:
“Ma’am, who should we keep in CC?”

It sounds like an etiquette question.
But it’s actually a culture question.

Because the intention behind CC matters more than the format.

If you’re copying someone to: 
• Keep them informed — that’s clarity.
• Ensure alignment — that’s transparency.
• Escalate appropriately — that’s structure.

But if you’re copying someone to: 
• Safeguard yourself
• Prove you’re right
• Create pressure
• Avoid a direct conversation
Then the issue isn’t email writing.
It’s trust.

Healthy organizations use CC for visibility. High-friction organizations use CC for validation.

Before clicking “Send”, pause for 5 seconds.
Ask: “What is my intention behind adding this person?”

Because culture is built in small digital behaviors.

A single outcome can quietly shake our confidence more than we admit.

Many years ago, I completed a training session that simply didn’t feel right to me.
Nothing visibly wrong. No major gaps.
But internally, I carried a sense of dissatisfaction.

As AI reshapes how we work, one skill is quietly becoming more valuable than all others.

Recently, while watching an interview of the founder of Sarvam AI at the AI Summit, one statement really stayed with me.

When asked what they look for while hiring talent, he said:
“In the age of AI, what you know matters a little less than how quickly you can learn.”

He also spoke about something powerful — the "Ability to suffer": the willingness to stay with a problem, deal with uncertainty, and keep going when solutions are not immediate.

To me, that captures the most important skill for the year ahead:

✨Learning Agility combined with Persistent Problem Solving✨

We are living in a time of information overload. Knowledge is available at our fingertips.
But access to information is no longer the differentiator.

The real advantage lies in:
✅How quickly we unlearn and relearn
✅How well we adapt to change

In a world used to instant results, curiosity, adaptability, and resilience will truly set people apart.

My advice for building this skill:
✨Stay a learner, not someone limited by past success

✨ Learn to stay comfortable with discomfort — that’s where growth happens
