In my current position as the CTO, I continue to steer our Core Tech Team, maintaining a conducive environment for idea-sharing, goal-setting, and the seamless execution of technical standards across the company. Furthermore, my responsibilities include providing support on a variety of technical and interpersonal issues to all colleagues, facilitating an environment where challenges are addressed promptly and efficiently. Through regular 1:1 meetings, I engage with many colleagues, assisting them in improving their communication, leadership, and technical problem-solving skills, thereby nurturing a workplace culture that encourages personal and professional growth for every team member.

My overarching goal remains to be a catalyst for innovation, ensuring our technical strategies align with the evolving market demands and contribute significantly to achieving our company's long-term objectives.

Chief Technology Officer

Lead of Core Tech Team: As lead I am responsible to organise group of senior developers, prepare all our meetings, set goals which we want to achieve, bring new ideas to the table and help implement technical standards across the company. My goal is to be opened to all ideas, support the best way I can any colleagues which need it and help solve any issues coming our way.

People Lead: This role give me the privilege of connecting with colleagues on a more personal level through our 1:1 meetings. I actively listen to their concerns, understand their day-to-day challenges, and guide them towards career advancement.

Product Owner: Leveraging my technical expertise, I translate customer insights into actionable product stories. I'm able to consider and imagine diverse use cases and understand their impact on the development process.

For a long time, people have known me by my titles.

At different points, it was Sales Strategist.
Then BDR.
Now, GTM Engineer.

Each title was accurate.
None of them was complete.

Because a title is never the full identity,
it is only one expression of purpose.

Somewhere along the way, many of us were taught to fragment ourselves for the world:
to pick one thing, one label, one lane,
and shrink the rest into silence.

That ends here.

Rejoice is the identity.
Everything else flows from that.

At my core, I am a builder.

I build systems.
I build people.
I build environments where clarity replaces confusion,
and capacity is intentionally formed.

This is why I Co-founded Beyond Service Year (BSY),
a leadership and capacity-building initiative for Nigerian youths.

BSY exists because too many brilliant young people are trapped
not by lack of potential,
but by lack of structure, exposure, and belief.

So we don’t just motivate.
We build.

We train people to think.
We immerse them in real work.
We expose them to structure, discipline, and execution.

In a short time:
 • 1,000+ young Nigerians encountered clarity
 • Dozens accessed internships, bootcamps, and real job opportunities
 • A 20+ person cross-functional team was built and led
 • 30+ members were trained through an intense startup simulation using real tools, real pressure, and real standards

Our mission is audacious and uncompromising:
to equip 100,000 Nigerian youths by 2027 - not to survive systems, but to rise above them and dominate globally with skill, clarity, and character.

This same builder instinct is what led me into GTM Engineering.

To me, GTM Engineering is the art of designing order.
It is how strategy becomes execution.
How intent becomes revenue.
How chaos becomes flow.

Today, I engineer how growth happens - deliberately, intelligently, and sustainably for brands across continents.  

Most importantly, I am unapologetic about my foundation.

God is not a footnote in my story.
He is the source.

My values don’t shift with titles.
My identity doesn’t shrink to fit platforms.
And my voice doesn’t ask for permission.

I think I just did the most ambitious thing in my career so far.
And honestly? I might be a little delusional… but the good kind.

A few weeks ago, I stumbled on the GTM Engineer role at ActiveCampaign. 
I read the JD, line by line, every responsibility, every skill, every requirement. 

And a wild thought hit me:
“If this is what being a GTME here looks like…
why not start showing up as that person, right now?”

I didn’t have the 3+ years experience the JD mentioned
I didn’t have a RevOps background.
I didn’t have all the tools mastered.

But what I DID have was:
curiosity, obsession, and the willingness to build in ambiguity.

So Instead of submitting a résumé…
I diagrammed, architected, and built the job.

From scratch

What I Built (In Plain English):
An AI-powered Lead router and deal acceleration system that:
1.	Captures incoming leads via webhook
2.	Enriches them using Explorium/Prospeo.io API
3.	Cleans & structures the data instantly 
4.	Scores the lead with JS logic (code)
5.	Routes them into 3 segments 
6.	Generates AI-personalized outreach for high-fit leads (LLM)
7.	Alerts Sales on Slack in real-time
8.	Logs EVERYTHING in CRM + Sheets

All inside one automated n8n workflow.

No team.
No shortcuts
Just me, a crazy amount of focus, and a 
desire to build my way into the future I want

I didn’t APPLY to the role (yet)
I built the role in public.

Because that’s:
• The bias for action the JD asked for
• The hacker mentality Active campaign values 
• The AI-first mindset the company prides itself on.

Maybe this is delusional.
But delusion built everything we admire today.

And this system isn’t just for ActiveCampaign.
It’s a reflection of the level of:

A day in the life of a GTM Engineer.

I wake up before the world does.
Not because I have to, but because I've learned that the quietest hours belong to the people building the biggest things.

So let me take you behind the scenes. 
Full BTS of what a day in my life actually looks like as a GTM Engineer.

My morning starts with God before it starts with work.

I open the Word, sit with it, let it settle. 
A few minutes of stillness before the noise begins. 

Then my 2-hour learning block kicks in. 
I pour into myself before I pour into the world. 

By 9am, I'm clocked in at work.

Daily standup. Tasks mapped out. 
Slack messages cleared. 
I go through client campaigns that launched, check what's performing, and flag what needs attention. 

Then... I flip the switch.

Slack notifications off. The real work begins.

The moment I open Clay, I disappear. 
Like genuinely I am gone. 
I'm building workflows, engineering AI prompts, testing different angles, refining messages, trying something completely wild just to see what happens.

Honestly? I could stay in Clay all day and forget to have lunch 😅

Okay. Fast forward to evening.

I slow down. Intentionally.

System shuts down. 
I fix myself something healthy to eat. 
I Read. Write. Catch up on a few WhatsApp messages. 

Then the phone goes on airplane mode, and I'm in bed early. 
Because early to bed means early to rise, and early to rise means I get to do all of this over again tomorrow.

Oh wait, I almost forgot to mention…
somewhere in the middle of all of this, 
I also post on LinkedIn every single weekday. Monday to Friday, no breaks. 
It’s a commitment I'm proud of.
And currently the messiest part of my day.
(Not found my flow with this yet - in respect to time)

So yeah. That's my life right now.

Boring? I know. 
You don't have to say it, I already know, haha.

But definitely not messy. 
Because I’ve learned that you can’t build anything real in chaos

I've decided to fall in love with the process, not just the outcome. 
And right now, I am very much on a mission.

Sorry for boring you with all of that - at least now you believe me when I say my life is boring 😂😂

32 days ago, a very small number of people walked into something we call The BSY Barracks.

12 entered.

Today, 9 remain.

We made the announcement.
Then we went quiet.

And that silence?
It was intentional.

Because what we are building is not another academy.
Not another course.
Not another “learn this skill in 30 days” promise.

The internet is already flooded with information.
Yet many Nigerian youths are still stuck 

After school.
After NYSC.
After all the motivational conferences.

You have the certificate.
You have the CV.
You have the data.

But something is missing.

Direction.
Structure.
Discipline.
Capacity.

That gap right there?
That’s the root.

Beyond Service Year (BSY) is not adding more information to the noise.

We are building a bridge - between potential and capacity.
Between ambition and discipline.
Between “I want more” and “I am built for more.”

The Barracks is one core part of that mission.

It is tough.
It is structured.
It is strict.

But completely deliberate.

Because the kind of emergence we are 
preparing for cannot be rushed.
And it cannot be built in public applause.

It must be forged.

30 days in.
60 more to go.

When it is time, no force will be able to stop who walks out of the Barracks.

After building and running thousands of rows in Clay, here are 21 lessons I’ve learned:

1. Test before you scale.
   It feels exciting to run thousands of rows… but test small batches first.

2. Iterate fast.
   You’re called a GTM engineer for a reason. Systems will break. Rebuild quickly.

3. Build on paper before you touch the tool.
   If the architecture isn’t clear in your head, Clay will only confuse you.

4. Don’t tie your happiness to booked meetings.
   Outbound has many variables. Focus on building strong systems.

5. Your Clay tables can be simple and still win.
   Fewer columns. Clear logic. Clean workflows.

6. Progress over perfection.
   Launch → learn → improve.

7. There is no “mastering Clay.”
   Everyone is still learning something new every week.

8. Learn tools fast, but don’t drown in them.
   This industry moves fast. Stay grounded.

9. Read sales and marketing books.
   Clay operators move data.
   Builders design systems.

10. Signals beat personalization.
    Right timing matters more than clever copy.

11. Bad ICP ruins everything.
    Even the best workflow won’t fix poor targeting.

12. Stage your enrichment.
    Don’t burn Clay credits enriching bad leads.

13. Always filter before enrichment.
    The cheapest Clay credit is the one you never spend.

14. Campaign success is mostly targeting.
    Copy and tools come later.

15. One strong signal beats five weak ones.

16. Document your workflows.
    Future you will thank you.

17. Your first workflow will look terrible later.
    That’s growth.

18. The best builders stay curious.
They test weird ideas.

19. Find time to rest.
    Burnout can sneak up on you quietly in this industry.

20. Try not to abandon your LinkedIn.
    Some of the best opportunities and conversations happen here.

21. Invest in a good working environment.
    Your space affects how well you think and build.

The biggest lesson for me overall is this:

Clay is just a tool.

The real edge is how you think about go-to-market systems.

Still learning.
Still building.

But here’s the truth I’ve come to accept:
This pressure is not a mistake. It’s part of the role.

Because GTM Engineering is not about activity.
It’s about outcomes.
And outcomes carry weight.

That same pressure you feel?
It’s also what sharpens you.

It forces you to think better. Move faster. See clearer.

So if you’ve been feeling it lately…
You’re not alone.

You’re just in the real part of the work.

You won’t just build workflows.

Outbound is a form of faith.

Let me explain.

When you look at winning outbound 
campaigns, they rarely win because every 
signal was 100% accurate.

Most of them win because the operator 
finds one strong signal, frames the 
message intelligently, and moves to the 
market with conviction.

But something interesting happens when you try to be too precise.

The more specific you try to be, the easier it is to be wrong.

You start stacking signals:

• Hiring signals
• Tech stack signals
• Funding signals
• Growth signals
• Leadership signals

Before you know it, you’re trying to 
perfectly explain a company you’ve never 
actually worked inside.

And the result?

You spend hours personalizing a message 
that only two people will ever see.

Meanwhile, the people who win at 
outbound do something different.

They find what is solid enough.

They confirm targeting.

They make the offer irresistible.

Then they move.

Fast.

With confidence.

Because outbound is not about predicting the future perfectly.

It’s about testing a hypothesis in the market.

And the market will tell you if you're right.
