In my current position as the CTO, I continue to steer our Core Tech Team, maintaining a conducive environment for idea-sharing, goal-setting, and the seamless execution of technical standards across the company. My role extends to nurturing a culture of continuous learning and improvement among the team, ensuring we are at the forefront of technological advancements.

Supporting our sales department during pivotal customer engagements, I leverage my technical knowledge to foster trust and understanding with potential clients, aiding in the expansion of our customer base and contributing to the overall growth of the company.

Furthermore, my responsibilities include providing support on a variety of technical and interpersonal issues to all colleagues, facilitating an environment where challenges are addressed promptly and efficiently. Through regular 1:1 meetings, I engage with many colleagues, assisting them in improving their communication, leadership, and technical problem-solving skills, thereby nurturing a workplace culture that encourages personal and professional growth for every team member.

My overarching goal remains to be a catalyst for innovation, ensuring our technical strategies align with the evolving market demands and contribute significantly to achieving our company's long-term objectives.

Chief Technology Officer

Lead of Core Tech Team: As lead I am responsible to organise group of senior developers, prepare all our meetings, set goals which we want to achieve, bring new ideas to the table and help implement technical standards across the company. My goal is to be opened to all ideas, support the best way I can any colleagues which need it and help solve any issues coming our way.

People Lead: This role give me the privilege of connecting with colleagues on a more personal level through our 1:1 meetings. I actively listen to their concerns, understand their day-to-day challenges, and guide them towards career advancement.

Product Owner: Leveraging my technical expertise, I translate customer insights into actionable product stories. I'm able to consider and imagine diverse use cases and understand their impact on the development process.

Lead developer: Working as lead developer gave me responsibility of delivering quality product and taking care of our team at the same time. I believe when you have great people in your team, that most issues can be resolved by proper, opened and on time communication. At the same time I was responsible to design and develop whole backend architecture.

I turned down 3 project inquiries in the last few weeks.

These were from people who’d worked with me before. But I still said NO.

A few years ago, that would’ve felt impossible.

But 2026 is different.
This year is about INTENTION.

So here’s what I’m focusing on:

1) Only projects I have the bandwidth for or ones that align

- I recently said NO to a project that didn’t align.
- I said NO to projects that I didn’t have the bandwidth for.

I’d rather do excellent work for 5 clients than burn out with 10.

2) Upselling to current clients

Deepening relationships with people who already trust me instead of constantly chasing new ones.

3) More speaking and teaching opportunities

This is what lights me up. I want it to be a CORE part of my work, not just a side thing.

Because you don’t grow by saying yes to everything.

You grow by saying YES to the right things and having the courage to say NO to the rest.

Even when it’s hard. Even when it’s money.

Because intention beats hustle. Every time.

3 business owners DM’d me last week asking about my services.

Not because I ran ads or cold-pitch.

Because I posted one IG story sharing client results. That’s it.

And you know what’s funny?
I almost didn’t share it.

I sat there thinking, “People will think I’m showing off. This feels too promotional.”

But the thing is:

Your audience isn’t studying your profile.
They’re not connecting the dots.

If you don’t explicitly say “This is what I do, and this is how I can help you” they won’t know!

So stop assuming people already know.
They don’t.

And the ones who DO want to work with you? 

They need a reminder that you’re available.

I've always told my clients that the TOP VOICE badge on LinkedIn doesn't matter.

What you should actually care about:

- If your positioning is correct
- If your content is adding value
- If you are reaching the right audience

And all these don't depend on a badge.

In 2026, I’m choosing to charge for my time, and this isn’t coming from a place of resentment or burnout. It’s coming from clarity.

In 2025, I said yes to a lot of things that were outside my scope of work.

Extra calls, brainstorming on new ideas, helping clients think through pivots, reviewing things that weren’t part of our original agreement.

I genuinely enjoyed it.

I saw it as building goodwill, building relationships, and being someone my clients could rely on. And I don’t regret that at all.

But somewhere along the way, I started noticing a feeling I couldn’t ignore.

Not exhaustion or frustration but a quiet question: Why is my effort being treated as optional when it clearly has value?

Goodwill is beautiful, but it shouldn’t come at the cost of self-worth.

Generosity is powerful, but it doesn’t mean your time is free.

When you continuously give beyond what was agreed upon, without acknowledgment or structure, you slowly teach people that your energy has no price tag.

And that’s not fair to you, or to the work you bring to the table.

So yes, in 2026, I will still support, guide, and show up for my clients.

But I’ll also honour my own time, effort, and expertise. Because building goodwill should never mean devaluing yourself.

So many marketing degree holders don’t understand marketing the way I do or the way no-degree social media managers do.

I’m not saying this to brag but to tell you that a degree doesn’t always translate to a person being really good at something.

And it’s just sad that so many businesses fail to understand that!
