- Good at extracting key entities, relationships, and topics.
- Can handle multiple formats (text, tables) if converted appropriately.
- Provides a “first-pass” analysis so you don’t start from blank.
- Repeatable and consistent (for the same prompt & input).

Cons:
- May (rarely) hallucinate or invent details that aren’t in the document.
- Doesn’t always catch domain-specific nuance or technical subtleties.
- Performance degrades on very long documents (context window limits).
- No guarantee of source attribution or traceability.
- Biases in training data may skew interpretation.

Do’s
✅ Always give context or purpose before asking for analysis.
✅ Break large docs into smaller chunks for processing.
✅ Ask for both summary and insights/implications.
✅ Request sources or cite-backs for key claims.
✅ Iterate (ask follow-up clarifications) instead of expecting perfection on the first prompt.

❎ Don’t dump an enormous document in one go without context.
❎ Don’t trust the output blindly; always verify critical facts.

1. Task

Define what you want & what success looks like:
"I want to [TASK] so that [SUCCESS CRITERIA]."
No roles, "act as a senior expert." That era is over.

2. Context Files

Upload context files with your expertise and rules:
"First, read these files completely before responding: [filename .md] - [what it contains]."
AI went from reading a sticky note to an entire book. 
Stop explaining yourself in the prompt. Put it in files.


3. Reference

Show AI exactly what you want. Upload an example.
Then give patterns, tone & structure as rules. No "give me something like" & hoping AI figures it out.

4. Brief

This is the only part you actually type from scratch. Everything else is files. "Type of output + length.
Does NOT sound like. Success means."

5. Rules

Context file holds your standards, taste & audience.
Prompt: "Read it fully before starting. If you're about to break one of my rules, stop and tell me."

6. Conversation

You spent 3 years prompting AI. Now it prompts you
Prompt: "DO NOT start executing yet. Ask me clarifying questions (use 'AskUserQuestion' tool) so we can refine the approach together step by step." 

7. Plan

Claude read your files before writing a single word.
Prompt: "Before you write anything, list the 3 rules from my context file that matter most for this task. Then give me your execution plan."

8. Alignment

Nothing happens until you both see the same aim. This replaces the old prompting era.
Prompt: "Only begin work once we've aligned."

How to turn Claude into your personal teacher.

𝗖𝗼𝗽𝘆 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗺𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘁:

"You are my personal teacher. Your job is to make me smarter after every single task we do together.

After completing any task or project, write a detailed FOR[yourname].md file that breaks down the entire thing in plain language - like a sharp friend explaining it over coffee, not like a textbook.

Here's exactly what I want you to cover: 

Step 1: What approach did you take, and why? Walk me through your reasoning. What was your starting point? What did you consider first?

Step 2: What other approaches did you consider but abandon? Why did you reject them? What was wrong with them? This is where I learn the most - I want to understand the roads not taken.

Step 3: How do the different parts of your work connect to each other? If you made a plan, a draft, a structure - show me how each piece fits together and why it's in that order.

Step 4: What tools, methods, or frameworks did you use? Why those specifically and not others? What would have changed if you picked differently?

Step 5: What tradeoffs did you make? What did you prioritize and what did you sacrifice? Every decision has a cost - show me both sides.

Step 6: What mistakes, dead ends, or wrong turns did we hit? How did we fix them? Don't hide the mess - the mess is where the learning lives.

Step 7: What pitfalls should I watch out for if I do something similar in the future? Give me the "I wish someone told me this earlier" advice.

Step 8: What would an expert notice about this work that a beginner would miss? Show me what separates good thinking from average thinking.

Step 9: What lessons can I take from this and apply to completely different projects? Connect the dots for me.

Make it engaging. Use analogies, short stories, and real-world comparisons to make ideas stick. If a concept is abstract, ground it in something I can picture. I want to finish reading and feel like I actually understand what happened and why - not just see the final result.

Do not write this like a textbook or technical documentation. Write it like you're sitting across from me, explaining over coffee."

1. Go to YouTube. Find a stupidly viral video.
2. Open Gemini to extract content from the video.
3. Copy paste this prompt:

"Act like an expert Content Strategist and Senior Editor for a leading digital publication. Your goal is to repurpose video content into high-value written pieces that drive engagement.

Analyze the following YouTube video: [YOUTUBE LINK].

Part 1: The Extraction
First, provide a comprehensive breakdown of the video content. Do not just summarize; extract the “meat” of the content using the following structure:
Core Thesis: What is the single most important argument or lesson in one sentence?
Key Data/Facts: List specific numbers, case studies, or hard facts mentioned.
Golden Quotes: Extract 3–5 verbatim quotes that are punchy or profound.
The Framework: If the speaker uses a specific step-by-step process or mental model, outline it clearly.

Part 2: The Angles
Based only on the extraction above, pitch 5 narrow, specific article angles.
Constraint: Avoid generic titles like “Summary of [Video Name].”
Requirement: Each angle must take a specific slice of the content and expand on it.
Format: Provide a catchy headline plus a one-sentence premise for each angle.
Example of a “Narrow Angle”
Bad: How to do Sales.
Good: The “3-Call Close” Technique: Why Most Salespeople Fail in the Follow-up."

4. Copy Gemini's answer.
5. Go to Gamma.app.
6. Click "Create with AI" → "Studio mode."
7. Select "Social" → "10 cards" → "Portrait."
8. Paste Gemini's answer. Select "Minimal text."
9. Hit generate. Your carousel is ready.

You just turned a 20-mins video into a 10-slide carousel you can edit, with AI images.

Do it for the videos you've been "saving for later."

This is the most useless button on your keyboard.

It switches languages. That's it. You'll never need it.

Here's how I made it useful:

1. I stopped typing entirely (using this exact key).
2. I downloaded Wispr Flow (free at wispr .ai).
3. I picked Shift/fn as my activation key.
4. Now I hold Shift, talk, & it writes everything.
5. If it misspells, I correct it once. It remembers.

That's 5 steps to never type again.

Results after 30 days:

✦ I write at 143 words per minute. 
✦ Top 1% of typists write at 120. 
✦ I've written 200+ LinkedIn posts this way.

That's it. No more typing.

This is the most underrated way to use Claude:

(and it has nothing to do with writing or coding)

It's competitive intelligence. Using data that's free, public, and updated every single week.

Here's my extract step by step guide:

Step 1. Go to claude .ai.
Step 2. Select the new Claude "Opus 4.6."
Step 3. Turn on "Extended Thinking."
Step 4. Use this guide: https://lnkd.in/dVDent-3
Step 5. Pick a competitor. Go to their careers page.
Step 6. Copy every open job listing into one doc.
(Title. Team name. Location. Full description)
Step 7. Save it as one .txt or .docx file.
Step 8. Search the company at EDGAR (sec .gov)
Step 9. Download its recent 10-K or 10-Q filing.
(Official strategy, risks, and financials - all public.)
Step 10. Upload both files to Claude Opus 4.6.
Step 11. Paste this exact prompt:

"You are a competitive intelligence analyst at a rival company. I've uploaded [Company]'s complete current job listings and their most recent SEC filing.

Perform a strategic intelligence analysis:

→ Cluster these roles by what they suggest is being built. Don't use the team names they've listed. Infer the actual product initiatives from the skills, tools, and responsibilities described.
→ Identify capabilities or teams that appear entirely new — not mentioned anywhere in the SEC filing. These are unreleased bets.
→ Find roles where seniority is disproportionately high for a new team. This signals executive-level priority.
→ Cross-reference the SEC filing's Risk Factors and Strategy sections with hiring patterns. Where are they investing against a stated risk? Where did they flag a risk but have zero hiring to address it?
→ Predict 3 product launches or strategic moves this company will make in the next 6-12 months. State your confidence level and cite specific job titles and filing sections as evidence.
Format this as a 1-page competitive intelligence briefing for a CMO."

What you'll find:

→ Products that don't exist yet but will in 6 months.
→ Priorities that contradict what the CEO said.
→ Risks they told the SEC but aren't addressing.

This is what consulting firms charge $200K for.
It took me 10 minutes.

I used the new Claude 'Opus 4.6' for a reason:

✦ It read 60 job listing & a 200-page filing together. 
✦ And connects dots across both.
✦ It is superior in thinking and context retrieval.

That's why I didn't use ChatGPT for this.

Click "Work with folder", upload the folder. Claude now reads every file before responding. 

Step 6: Use this prompt to start any task: 

"I want to [YOUR TASK] so that [WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE]. First, read the uploaded files before responding. DO NOT start executing yet. Instead, ask me clarifying questions so we can refine the approach together step by step. Only begin work once we've aligned."

Step 7: Use this prompt to redirect Claude: 

"We are getting sidetracked. We need to start over without losing the context of this chat. First, ask me what went wrong and where we must go instead."

Step 8: Update your files as your taste evolves
Upload the old .md. Paste this prompt: 

"Read this file. Update it with [what changed]."

4. Click "Get it now" → Install the add-in.
5. Open Excel. Select "Tools."
6. Add-ins (Mac) or Home → Add-ins (Windows).
7. Sign in with your Claude account.
8. Open any spreadsheet. Click any cell.
9. Ctrl+Option+C (Mac) or Ctrl+Alt+C (Windows).
10. Claude is now inside your Excel.

→ Find all # REF & # VALUE errors in this workbook.
→ Convert all dates to YYYY-MM-DD format.
