I'm a stand-up and improv comedian (Second City writing, ComedySportz, more) who also spent years as a tech exec building high-performing teams. That combo taught me something most folks miss: The same skills that make you good at improv are what makes teams brave enough to innovate. Comfort with uncertainty. Building on others' ideas. Leaders, Say the THING. Silence is Expensive.

Super bowl-aversary.


When your anniversary falls on the Super Bowl Weekend. It's football, love and a date night.

We got married so young. 
I had such cold feet.
My 3 brothers walked me down the aisle. 
My youngest two half-way, then my oldest the rest.
And they all said, "we got you. You cannot run away."

My hubby and I both lost our dads as kids.

He is my rock. 
Rocks don't shout, "look at me. I am a rock!"
They just are there - steady, with love. Lifting, Supporting.

Rick, my hubby, makes me better.  And I, him.
I know he's happily married..cuz I told him he was 🤣 😂 😁 .

Over 25 years with this amazing man.
The best dad and hubby.

He asked me out after I just broke up with someone and when I said I wasn't ready, he respected my boundaries. He has 5 sisters and an amazing Latina Mom.

We were kids when we married. We didn't know what life planned.

We lost jobs, our moms, bought a house, had kids, Lost kids, went through infertility issues, started businesses.

Life threw everything at us.

We had no idea what was in store. He made me better.  Restored my faith that there is kindness in the world. 

When our first was little, I would watch Colbert Report and he would be so happy. I turned off the TV, he would get upset.   

I turned it back on, and he was so happy. 

This went on several times.

I realized, "Oh, he thinks Colbert is Daddy."  My oldest is 17 now. I should probs tell him. 😂 

To the man who makes me better. My husband. Absolutely, my better half.
