✍️ Here were my favorite takeaways:
 
1. Marily's stack is 6 power tools. Google AI Studio for prototyping, Opal for mini apps, Notebook LM for learning, Perplexity for user research, ChatGPT for PRDs, and Fireflies for meetings. That's it. No tool hopping.
   
2. Prototype before writing PRDs. Marily builds a working app in AI Studio first, then brings engineers in to debate the actual thing. Saves weeks of back-and-forth on documents. PRDs are now for complex cross-functional work only.
   
3. Notebook LM learned a 4-hour video in 15 minutes. Marily had an interview the next day. She uploaded the job description and a 4-hour investor relations video. It gave her 15 key points. She memorized them and crushed the interview.
   
4. Perplexity's Reddit filter is your secret weapon. Turn off web search, turn on discussions and opinions. Ask "would young professionals be interested in a fitness ring?" Get 20+ Reddit sources instantly. Know what users actually want.
   
5. Marily's PRD generator has 10,000+ users. She trained a ChatGPT custom GPT with her voice and old PRDs. It asks probing questions before generating. Gets PRDs done in days instead of weeks. She's not embarrassed to use AI at work.
   
6. Tool selection has 4 rules. Does it save 10x time (not 2x)? Does it work across contexts? Does it work with your company's limitations? Does it compound over time? If not all 4, delete it.
   
7. "Be like a crab" for AI PM roles. Move adjacent to your experience. Hearing aids → AirPods PM. ESPN journalism → Meta sports AI PM. Don't ignore your past experience. It's your competitive advantage.

✍️ Here were my favorite takeaways:
 
1. 900M Weekly Users - ChatGPT's user base is more than the entire population of Europe. Even a small percentage discovering your app is meaningful distribution.

2. 26% Higher Conversion - Users from AI sources convert 26% higher than traditional search. By the time someone asks ChatGPT to book a hotel, they're ready to act.

3. Three Types of Potential Apps to Build - Utility apps (self-contained tools), Integration apps (connect to your APIs), Complex apps (full experiences). Start with utility to learn.

4. Follow Target's Pattern - You can't checkout in ChatGPT. But you can build a cart. Then pop users to Target.com to finish. Use ChatGPT for discovery, your product for transactions.

5. Use Streaming to unlock Distribution - Apps that stream responses feel instant. ChatGPT is more likely to surface them. Enable in your manifest, implement server-sent events.

6. Smart Trigger Phrases - Define trigger phrases in your manifest. When ChatGPT detects them, it surfaces your app - even if user hasn't installed it. This is how organic discovery works.

7. Proactive Surfacing Beats Search - Most powerful distribution is ChatGPT analyzing requests and surfacing relevant apps inline. Not users searching for apps.

8. Lead Gen Model Wins - Many apps won't monetize directly. They'll use ChatGPT as top-of-funnel. Acquire high-intent users, own relationship after handoff, avoid platform fees.

9. Build When You Have APIs - If you have good APIs, building ChatGPT app is mostly frontend work. Not building new backend. Building new interface to existing capabilities.

10. Don't Build for Non-AI Users - If target customers aren't using ChatGPT, building app is premature. Meet users where they are today, not where you think they'll be in 3 years.

8 Jahren sind mittlerweile vergangen, seitdem Robert und meine unternehmerischen Wege sich gekreuzt haben.

Angefangen hat es mit Badehosen und wasserdichten Innentaschen. Seitdem haben wir zusammen mehrere Firmen aufgebaut, Multimillionen-Exits gefeiert aber genauso mit einer Insolvenz, die Schattenseiten des Unternehmertums kennengelernt und ausgehalten.

Viele Gespräche in den letzten 12 - 18 Monaten begannen gleich: „Unser Inbound funktioniert nicht mehr wie früher, organischer Traffic bricht ein.“

Nicht, weil Produkte schlechter geworden sind. Sondern weil sich Such-, Informations- und Entscheidungsverhalten fundamental verschoben haben.

Menschen googeln weniger. Sie fragen ChatGPT, Perplexity & Co. Entscheidungen werden vorbereitet, lange bevor klassische Touchpoints überhaupt stattfinden.

Das ist kein Marketing-Trend. Das ist ein Systemwechsel im Go-to-Market.

Und genau deshalb haben Robert und ich uns im Mai 2025 bewusst auf die Suche gemacht - nach zwei echten Marketing-Schwergewichten, die diesen Wandel nicht nur verstehen, sondern operativ gestalten wollen. Die wir unterstützen können mit unserer GTM- und Skalierungsexpertise.

Die Namen Katrin Kempe und Lili Frankus  tauchten dabei immer wieder, unabhängig voneinander als starke Empfehlungen auf. 

Grund genug für einen Outreach und ein gemeinsames Lunch. 

To be fair:

Lili kennen wir seit vielen Jahren.
Wir haben bereits früher eng zusammengearbeitet - auf Unternehmens- wie auf Agenturseite. 
Was uns damals wie heute überzeugt hat: Klarheit, Struktur und eine extreme Umsetzungsstärke.
Keine Buzzwords. Kein Aktionismus. Sondern sauberes Denken und konsequentes Handeln.

Katrin haben wir etwas später kennengelernt und waren sofort beeindruckt von ihrer Energie, ihrem Enthusiasmus und der Ernsthaftigkeit, mit der sie das Thema angeht. Nicht laut, nicht beliebig - sondern tief, reflektiert und mit echtem Anspruch, immer das Beste für den Kunden zu liefern.

Zwei Gründerinnen.
Ein absolutes Powerhouse.

Was als Herzensprojekt nebenbei im Sommer 2024 gestartet ist, hat in den letzten Monaten in vielen gemeinsamen Sessions und Workshops dann deutlich an Tiefe gewonnen:

✅ wir haben eine klare Positionierung gemeinsam erarbeitet
✅ wir haben unser Service- und Produktportfolio definiert und geschärft
✅ wir denken duwerk AI First und haben damit das Fundament für strukturierte Skalierung geschaffen

Für Robert und mich war relativ schnell klar:
Kund:innen brauchen bei diesem Thema vor allem Orientierung. Nicht nur Analytics oder isolierte Maßnahmen, sondern ganzheitliche Beratung und vor allem konkrete Unterstützung in der Umsetzung.

Deshalb gehen wir jetzt gemeinsam den nächsten Schritt. Aus zwei Gründerinnen werden nun auch formal vier Gesellschafter. 

Ich bin dankbar für das Vertrauen, die Offenheit und die Energie der letzten Monate. Stolz auf schon jetzt mehr als 10 Kunden und super gespannt auf das, was wir 2026 gemeinsam aufbauen werden.

Das ist mein wichtigstes Takeaway aus dem Artikel von Danny Wörns bei REP - Revenue Excellence Partners zum Thema Authentizität im Cold Calling.

Der Text handelt formal von Telefonakquise aber in Wahrheit geht es um etwas Größeres.

Denn das Problem sind 2026 nicht mehr fehlende Argumente, schlechte Vorbereitung oder zu wenig Automatisierung - Gott bewahre. 

Das alles kann AI inzwischen definitiv besser.

Das eigentliche Problem;
Gespräche fühlen sich austauschbar und maschinell an.

Und das gilt nicht nur für Cold Calls, sondern genauso für Gespräche auf Messen, Netzwerk-Events, erste Discovery-Meetings
oder späte Deal-Phasen mit mehreren Stakeholdern.

Sobald ein Gespräch nur noch nach Skript klingt - nach Rolle, Methode oder „so macht man das im Sales eben“ ist das Vertrauen schnell weg. Käufer suchen aber 2026 eben genau nach diesen Vertrauen und Echtheit

Was Danny sehr klar herausarbeitet (und was ich im Markt täglich sehe):

✅ Skripte geben Sicherheit, aber keine Verbindung
✅ Es gibt keinen perfekten Opener - nur einen, der zu dir passt
✅ Menschen reagieren nicht auf Perfektion, sondern auf Echtheit

Gerade jetzt wird das entscheidend:

AI schreibt bessere Mails.
AI bereitet Meetings besser vor.
AI targetiert Einwände schärfer.

👉 Was AI nicht kann:
Eine echte Haltung transportieren.

Oder wie es Marcus Sheridan seit Jahren beschreibt: Radikale Ehrlichkeit schlägt perfekte Verkaufstaktik - langfristig immer.

In 2023, Jan-Erik and Tim pitched me an idea that many would have dismissed as “too niche”: a dedicated solution engineering track at ARRtist Circus.

How important is the SE function for you folks ?

Parloa just announced a $350M Series D at a $3B valuation, only seven months after their Series C.

As an early-stage investor with eNugget Ventures, this is one of those rare moments where you briefly pause and then immediately think:

Hell yes! ,-) 

But let me be clear:

This was never obvious in the beginning.

What was obvious early on wasn’t the valuation or the speed of development.

It was the ambition of the team and the clarity of where customer experience is heading.

Agentic customer experience is no longer a nice-to-have.

It’s becoming infrastructure for almost every company out there, and especially for upper mid market and enterprise.

Two large rounds in less than a year don’t happen because of hype.

They happen because:

✅ the market is moving fast
✅ the product is ahead of that curve
✅ and the team executes with conviction under pressure - in a very unique way!

What impresses me most about Parloa is not the capital raised. It’s the consistency.

The ambition hasn’t changed.
The focus hasn’t softened.
And despite the speed, it’s very clear this is still a team in build mode, not victory mode. Crazy speed, high targets!

Huge respect to the entire Parloa team, which pushes the boundary every single day.

To the customers, partners, and investors who doubled down:

You don’t do that unless you deeply believe what’s being built here.
